Michael...
"She's so sick Ash and I don't know what to do. I've given her medicine, she's slept, I've cooked her soup." I complain.
"I don't know Mikey, you'll just have to wait it out." He shrugs.
"I guess you're right, I'm going to go check on her." I shrug. I walk up the stairs into Melody's room, I see her laying in her bed curled up into a little ball pale as ever. "How you feeling baby?"
"Reawwy bad." she whines.
"I'm sorry princess." I say pushing the hair away from her sweaty face.
"Daddy my tummy hurts."
"I'll get you some water how does that sound?"
"Okay," I jog down the stairs and grab a glass of the water, but when I return to Melody's room there's throw-up all over the bed. "I'm sowwy daddy." she sobs.
"It's okay baby, let's get you cleaned up." I say picking the little girl off the messy bed and taking her into the bathroom. I turn on the bathtub and make sure the water is warm before plugging the tub letting it fill slowly while I help Melody out of her puke covered pj's. I place the little girl into the bathtub and let her relax. "I'll be right back Mel, don't move." I instruct she nods. I go back into Melody's bedroom and remove the bed sheets throwing them in the trash I wash off my hands and pull out my phone finally deciding to dial Halley's number.
"Hello?" she answers groggily.
"Hey Halley, it's Michael."
"Um-okay- uh whats up?" she asks confused.
"Melody is really sick, she just threw up all over the bed."
"Aw, my poor girl."
"I don't know what to do, I've tried everything."
"Do you want me to come over?" she asks.
"Would you mind?"
"Not at all, I'll be over in twenty."
"Thank you so much Halley." I respond.
"Don't mention it." She says hanging up.
"Halley's going to come over baby girl." I inform the little girl in the bathtub. She smiles, but only slightly, I don't think she can muster up the energy to put anymore effort into it. "Let's get you scrubbed, yeah?" I ask. She agrees so I help wash her clean and pull her out of the tub 15 minutes later.
I dry her off wrapping her in her little ducky house robe and walking into her room where all her clothes are. "I'm cold daddy." she complains.
"Then lets get you some warm clothes shall we?"
"K," she agrees. I dig through the drawers of clothes I bought her earlier this week, pulling out a little white 5sos hood and some fluffy blue pants with penguins on them (yep Luke picked them out).
"Wanna sleep in these baby girl?"
"Okay," she answers. I grab her a pair of underwear and a tank top and help her get dressed. As soon as I was about to put some new sheets on the bed the doorbell rang, but before I could run to get the door
Calum called up the stairs; "I got it!"
"Thanks Cal!" I call back in response. Within a minute Halley is up the stairs comforting Melody while I re-sheet the bed.
"I heard you're not feeling well baby."
"I'm not." Melody mumbles.
"Well I'm gonna try to make you feel better okay?"
