Xane's eyes shown with excitement as he hurried towards the large building.

"Where are we?" Macon asked hesitantly as she looked around trying to take it all in.

"Let me show you." His voice took on a playful tone as he motioned for her to follow him.

Once inside she couldn't help but to trail her fingers over the trickling water that cascaded down a tall water sculpture in the center of the entry way.

Exotic vines and plants covered the sides of the water feature and spread up the stone walls.

Gentle chirping sounds caught Macon's attention, and she walked further into the room.

At the back of the room, stood a tree that stretched up well above the second story balcony.

It was filled with tiny bird like creatures.

The tiny creatures pecked at that small fruits that hung from its branches.

"This place is amazing." Macon breathed out as Xane came to stand just behind her.

She could feel the warmth of his body as he pulled her flush to him.

His chin settled on her shoulder and a flush came of her cheeks.

"I'm glad you think so."   He all but purred in her ear.

He placed a single hot kiss along the bottom side of her chin before releasing her.

She took a deep steadying breath as she tried to regain her composure.

"Come on."  Xane said as he walked toward the stairwell.

At the top of the stairs, Macon caught a glimpse of Xane as he darted into one of the rooms.

She noticed that these rooms looked far more residential than the base floor.

"Xane are you sure we should be up here?"

She called out to him as her heart pounded.

As she entered through the same doorway she'd seen Xane pass through, she had to lift up a heavy drape.

Inside the large room that was definitely a bedroom of sorts.

One fit for a king.

In the very center lay a huge circular bed that was also covered by heavy drapes.

"Well..." Xane chuckled lowly.

Macon turned to find him propped against a dusty chaise that had been carelessly left uncovered.

His eyebrows raised, and she bit back the butterflies that bubbled up inside her.

"Well, what?" She chuckled nervously.

"Do you like it?"

"What kind of question is that?" She giggled and shook her head slowly.

"This place is amazing," she finally breathed out.  "Is this where you bring all the girls?"

His brows furrowed, and he was quiet for a moment.

"Actually, you are the first girl I've ever brought home."

Her heart sped up, and she looked around the room as if she was seeing it for the first time.

Part of her wondered if this was a joke.

He inched toward her slowly.

She sank back against the covered table behind her and nearly stumbled.

The look in his eyes held warning as he neared.

He traced a fingertip over her bottom lip.

"I can't help but think of all things I'll do to you in this very room."   His voice was low and promising.

"Hmmm." A puff of sound barely escaped her mouth as she looked up at him.

Her eyes traced drown his face and settled on his lips and she found herself wanting to lean against him.

She held back knowing that she didn't need to start something that she was not ready to finish.

A heathy fear of the male still held at the bottom of her stomach.

A sudden vibration snapped them out of the moment and caused Xane to look at the watch on his wrist.
