The Stalking Job

Chapter 2- From A Girl To A "Boy"

The next morning I woke up with the little sleep I'd gotten.

"Your job is to stalk my ex" Julie's voice ran in my head"

I rolled around in my bed. Why did I even accept it! I must be going crazy. I kept rolling around my bed and complained until I rolled one more time to the left and fell off my bed.

"Ow..." I complained

I heard rushing footsteps. My dad barged in.

"Aster! Are you okay?!" My dad asked

"I'm okay just fell off my bed" I replied

"Oh, go get ready and come eat breakfast," He said

I nodded. I picked my outfit for today, since it was Saturday my parents were home but I knew well they would leave on Sunday for work purposes. I took a warm shower and changed into my chosen outfit. Finally, I rushed downstairs.

"Hi mom, hi dad, what's for breakfast?" I asked and sat down on my chair

"Waffles and strawberries, your favorite," said Mom

"I don't like waffles, pancakes are better" I complained

"Aster, pancakes, and waffles are the same" My mom smiled

"They're not" I muttered

My dad came with three plates of waffles and strawberries.

"Eat up family," My dad said and sat down

I began to eat my waffles and strawberries.

"By the way Aster we need to leave for Europe tomorrow morning," said my mom

"For how long?" I asked

"A month or two" My dad replied

How convenient... with this there wouldn't be any trouble for the boarding school issue.

"It's fine" I smiled

"That's our girl" My mom patted my head

"Our neighbor will be checking in on you from time to time" My dad spoke

Oh shit...

"Okay I smiled weakly

I finished my breakfast and went off to Julie's house. It was huge... I let out a sigh and pressed the doorbell. Not even a minute late, a tall boy opened the door.

"You must be Julie's friend, come in!" He said and pulled me in

"I am" I lied

"Oh Aster, you're just in time!" said Julie

I nodded.

"This is Luca, his the son of our school's principal" Julie explain

"Hey" He smiled and waved

"Hello" I greeted

"He goes the school my ex goes to" Julie continued to explain further "and he'll be helping you out"

I nodded

"Why don't you ask him to stalk your ex instead?" I asked still hesitant about my job

"Freshmen and seniors rarely see each other," said Julie

I nodded as to say I agree

"Okay little lady here's the deal, we share dorms with another guy," said Luca

I dug my nails onto my palms.

"You'll be staying with my brother Levi Elsher, I gave him specific orders on how to treat you, you can tell me if anything happens" Luca explained and smiled kindly
