Akuji... He's a tall and slim boy, almost as tall as William, maybe an inch shorter. He has pleasant features and a bright smile. Eyes a combination of silver-green and heavy upper lips. His brown curls tied on a ponytail

"Why is it fitting? Not trying to be rude but it sounds scary" I said

Akuji smiled and nodded

"It doesn't it," He said with a pitiful look

"Why would your parents give you a scary name?" I asked

"When I was born I died for a few minutes, and then...boom! back to life like nothing happened" Akuji made an exploding sound

"That's an interesting story" I smiled

"You know what they say, every name has its story" Akuji smiled

"Never heard that saying" I chuckled

"Probably made it right on the spot, who knows" Akuji shrugged

I chuckled. He was so charming.

"What are you studying?" Akuji asked

"Uh nothing important" I smiled and put away my books

"If you ever need my help you're more than welcome to ask" He smiled

"Thank you, I'll think about it" I smiled back

"What are you doing here all alone? Where are your friends?" Akuji asked

I shook my head.

"I don't have any yet" I replied

"Well now you have one, I'm Akuji Ma"

"Mallory..." Ashton said bitterly

"Fujiwara, Winters, Elsher, how lovely two see you three troublemakers" Akukji smiled fakely

"What are you doing with Gabriel?" Ashton asked pulling me up

I stumbled on my backpack and fell onto his shoulder.

"Ugh" Ashton moved making me fall onto the floor

"Rude!" I screamed

William helped me up. Akuji stood up.

"Still mad at me? I'm sorry I made you question yourself" Akuji grinned

"Go to fucking hell, what do you want with him" Ashton glared

"I want to be his friend of course" Akuji smiled

"Don't go near him" Ashton glared

"That's for Gabriel to decide," Akuji smiled. He took a piece of paper and a pen and scribbled something.

What the hell was going on and why was Ashton being so defendant?

"Text or call me whenever you want Gabriel! It was a pleasure to meet a freshie with brains" Akuji winked handing the paper

I smiled and waved goodbye.

Ashton turned to me and took the paper aggressively.

"Let's go" He glared at William and Levi.

I looked at the clique confused. Levi listened and followed Ashton, William however stayed behind.

"Don't talk to Mallory, it's just a warning" William spoke and caught up to his friends

That's it just a warning? After what he said? I let out a sigh and dropped to my chair. I will never understand "normal" people. I relaxed for a bit before going back to all my classes. This time far away from the clique and William. As much as I wanted to get this over with, I couldn't approach them as easily as yesterday. For most of the classes, I yawned and was easily falling asleep. I had no one to talk to or had a good night's sleep to focus on. For our gardening class, we went to the forest near the school. Along with the Junior Environmental science class.
