"Ashton your partner is Gabriel" The teacher announced
"WHAT?!" Ashton and I screamed
"Like this, you'll get along with him" The teacher announced
Levi laughed at our misfortune. William did laugh as well, but his laugh was different.
"Good luck Gabriel," said William with a smile
His smile made the partnering up less brutal.
"What makes you think I'll get along with that thing!" Ashton screamed
Ashton's words hit. "That Thing"
"Why am I being punished on my first day?" I asked
"What do you mean by being punished?" Ashton turned his attention to me
I glared at him
"I think you know far damn well why I said that" I replied
"Go get your tools," said the teacher
We walked to the tool shed. Everyone got their tools. Some tools were in my reach and some weren't.
"Ashton, can you help me get the garden trowel?" I asked
"Why should I pipsqueak?" Ashton asked getting the garden trowel for himself
I glared at him.
"Here" William offered me his garden trowel
"Thank you" I thanked him and got his garden trowel
William grabbed another one.
"You're far too nice Liam, let him get his tools" Levi scoffed and grabbed his garden trowel
"I'm not, you guys are just being assholes," said William
He left to do his work with his partner and Levi went to his. I walked away from Ashton to our assigned station. We planted the tulips. While I planted the flowers I stared at William, he was so gentle with the flowers and seemed to enjoy the class.
"Why the hell do you stare at Liam so much?" Ashton asked
"I don't" I lied
"Don't get your hopes up, Liam isn't gay" Ashton glared
"I'm not getting my hopes up" I glared
"Yeah right, besides your friend Julie still likes him, back off dwarf, don't get in her way" Ashton retorted
"It's his choice, not Julie's" I snapped
"Shut the hell up, I won't let you hurt Julie just because you think you have a chance with Liam" He glared
"I never said I did" I stared into his green eyes
Did he like Julie. Let's see his reaction.
"Do you like Julie?" I asked
Ashton's face turned red. It wasn't blushing but more anger. He dropped his garden trowel and pushed me to the ground by my shoulder.
"DON'T FUCKING ASSUME STUFF ABOUT ME!" Ashton screamed
As I sat on the ground I squeezed the handle of my tool.
"Don't fucking push me!" I glared
Ashton sat down on the floor.
"Or what pipsqueak? You're gonna cry and snitch to the teacher?" Ashton laughed. I let go of my tool, if I hit him with this I would hurt him. Instead, I punched him on the shoulder.
