I.
i hope before the murky fog and
smoke suffuse the plain leaves
and branches, the emptiness and
heaviness i'm carrying inside will
mix with the raindrops and disappear
together with the thin air like a bubble.
i hope before my old-styled alarm clock
ring to wake me up from my delicate
dreams, the knife and arrow that keep
on stabbing my soul and piercing my
flesh will become a feather that make
me laugh and chuckle endlessly. i hope
before the morning sun's rays kiss my
bare skin, the pain and my roaring wild
storm of thoughts will vanish completely.
i only hope genuine happiness, but until
now i still didn't feel nor experience it.
is it too much to ask? is it forbidden to
be happy even at once? i hope not.
II.i just only wanted to plant
sunflowersin a void space to
make myself relax, but when i
was still digging hole in the
ground, you crumpled my seeds
into tiny pieces and poisoned every
space of the soil. i just only wanted
to fly higher until i touch the rainbow
and the galaxy of shining stars, but
you cut my wings and just watched me
falling and crying for help. i just only
wanted to envision my imagination
and paint it in a blank canvas by the
help of tints and colors, but you grinded
my paintbrush into tiny ashes. i just
only wanted to express my unsaid
thoughts and hidden emotions that i
keep for years through composing
them into a statements, but you
mercilessly stole my ink and power to continue doing my passion. i just only
wanted to be better for myself, but in
every step i took you always hindered,
making me worser than i already am.III.
darling, your glistening eyes
is like the home of fireflies
or the descendants of sunrise
i'm tranquilize as if i'm in paradisedarling, your soothing voice
helps me bury the annoying noise
it's like a lullabies of solace
it comforts and consoles me in peacedarling, your gratifying soul
satisfy my life's shallow hole
it fills the space—I became whole
and gain courage to reach my goal-Skieslany
