Chapter 18

(Y/n)'s POV

Cloud was looking around at the men's bathroom to find a vent, luckily, Cloud was able to find it, "Gotcha." Cloud said to us.  Cloud started walking towards to the vent before Barret started walking towards to Cloud.  Me and Tifa were walking towards to Barret as well before we see Cloud took down the air duct before he placed it down and he started walking towards to us.

Barret was looking at Cloud before he started talking to him, "Look, I'm..." Barret tried to say something to Cloud but Cloud talk over to Barret, "On guard duty." Cloud said to Barret.  Barret was looking at Cloud before telling him, "Right." Barret said to Cloud.  Me and Tifa were looking at Cloud before Tifa asked Cloud, "So...can we go with you?" Tifa asked Cloud.  Tifa was not done talking to Cloud because she kept talking to him, "Don't wanna be here any longer than I have to." Tifa said to Cloud.

Cloud was looking at me and Tifa before telling us, "Yeah, sure. Just follow behind." Cloud said to us.  Cloud decided to go first before he turns around to jump up in the air duct vent.  Once Cloud got up, he sticks his hand out to us, I decided to go second, so I started walking towards the air duct vent before I jumped up and I was able to grab Cloud's hand before he pulls me up.  Once I was in the vent, me and Cloud looked at each other before we stick our hands towards Tifa.

Once Tifa grabbed our hands we pulled her up before we started crawling in the vents.  Let's just say that there was a lot of crawling in the vents and it was like almost a maze in the vents, we also hear some people talking about stuff but we had to find the meeting, luckily we were able to find it.  Cloud was the first to look at President Shinra, but me and Tifa were looking at President Shinra as well, "I'm telling you, I saw him! With my own eyes! Sauntering down the corridor!" A voice yelled out.  I was listening to the conversation and President Shinra was talking about Aerith of how they want to get to the promised land, but so far they were talking about of how they well get a new upgrade to this place.

One person tried to talk over to President Shinra but there was nothing that could change his mind.  President Shinra was looking at Hojo before he called his name out, "The test results were within expectations. The specimen is somewhat lacking compared to her pure-blood mother, but for our purposes she should more than suffice." Hojo said to President Shinra. President Shinra was interested to this before he Hojo, "So, she can lead us to the promised land?" President Shinra asked Hojo. Hojo was looking at the President before telling him, "Well, Mister President, that remains to be seen. I would like your permission to secure her cooperation through more 'forceful' means. Forceful yet gentle. She is a precious resource that must be handled with care." Hojo said to everyone.

A woman that her name is Scarlet started talking to Hojo, "Personally, I've never had a problem with torture. Maybe that one kid with (h/c) hair could be your first torture besides she seems to care about that little boy." Scarlet said to Hojo. Cloud and Tifa just put their hands on my shoulder before I could do anything that could get us caught, "My armory is at your disposal, should you require anything." Heidegger said to Hojo.

Hojo was looking at the people in the meeting before telling them, "I...had something more...psychological in mind. Better to scar the psyche than mar the flesh." Hojo said to everyone. I was starting to get really mad but Cloud and Tifa were holding my shoulder's to make sure that I didn't do something that could ended bad. Everyone in the meeting was quiet before President Shinra started talking to Hojo, "Proceed as you see fit. However. You will not make the same mistake twice. Is that clear?" President Shinra said to Hojo. Hojo was looking at President Shinra before telling him, "If I may, Mister President, I have an idea how we might mitigate the risks. Simply put, we could have the Ancient reproduce. In the absence of a second specimen, we would need to identify an alternative mate. I would start with candidates from SOLDIER. These would of course include S and G types. Quite frankly, there's no telling what kind of properties a crossbred specimen might possess. So— What say you all?" Hojo asked everyone in the meeting.
