Miles decided to have a party. A party at his parent's house, while they were away on a trip, added to the fact Miles was supposed to be babysitting his younger brother, his adopted brother he wasn't that fond of.

You decided to call him and check in to see how he was doing you couldn't come to the party because you were spending the night at your friend's house and they just wanted to spend time with you.

So it was a no on the party.

"Hey Miles, whatchu doin'?"

You knew about the party it wasn't something you couldn't hide especially because you are his girlfriend, but he didn't tell you about the party already knowing you would disagree.

So you decided to play into the fact that he still thought you were clueless about it, "what am I doing? pffttff, what are you doing? what do you mean what am I doing because the question you should be asking yourself right now is what are you doing!" he rambled on clearly at a loss for words.

When it came to you he couldn't lie to save his life as soon as he hears your voice and it's all over for him. Miles knew you hated it when he messed with his little brother so he started sweating bullets.

Sighing into the phone you tried a more direct approach you didn't want to drive all the way over to his house at eight pm.

"What'd you do to him this time?"

"Whattttt? what do you mean, he's upstairs sleeping—" He barely finished his sentence

"No, I'm not, I'm right here hi Y/N, hey Miles." you could hear the smirk in that little boy's voice.

He must have been using a different landline phone in the house but the only other one was down in the basement ...what was he doing down there?

And you couldn't help but imagine Miles's face dropping once he heard his voice on the receiving end. Deciding to continue the joke you followed along with him.

"Hey bud, is everything okay? why were you sleeping so early it's only eight?"

"Well actually, I wasn't sleeping. I'm down in the basement." shaking your head you roll your eyes of course he was in the basement so you were right, away from Miles, away from the party, very convenient if you ask me.

But none the less you keep up the fake façade letting out an exaggerated gasp your hand goes to your mouth in disbelief acting out your fake concern.

"The basement, what the heck are you doing d-down there? Wouldn't you rather be up here hanging with heh- me??" Miles squeaked out nervousness slipping into his words.

So, he was going to act like you were born yesterday like you didn't know he didn't like his younger sibling but you kept the act up, you knew he was a smart boy he'd be fine.

"Yeah, I would Miles. Why don't you come down and get me? now."

Well damn, you were not expecting that you had the phone on speaker this whole time letting your friend listen to the conversation.

On the other end of the phone, you heard Miles set down the landline to go down and get the younger sibling you would yell at him tomorrow about this but for right now you didn't care.

Picking up the phone Miles held it up so they could both could talk, "Okay. Everything is cool here, right little bro?" The phone was then pulled down, "Yeah, Y/N. And I have your number if I need you." he finished with a cheeky grin.

You couldn't hold it in anymore, you laughed your heart out this was hilarious! "Okay give the phone back to Miles now." you said giggling.

A couple of minutes passed and you heard the loud sounds of teenagers in the background of the phone call. At this point, he knew you were messing with him and he knew that you knew he started a party.

There was no point in hiding it anymore.

"Was that so hard to do Miles?"

He sighed running a hand down his face he looked up at his ceiling holding the landline phone to his ear, "lemme guess, you didn't fall for that, did you?" you just laughed.
