~Forever With The Good Girl #4~
Chapter 35: The Game of Life
Ethan Daniels
Life is a game, but it's not yours to play.
You are given cards in which life deals. Sometimes you'll get a good hand and win. But that's not always the case.
Life isn't fair. Life does not care who you are because as far as it's concerned, you live and you die. But within the moments you live, you must make memories because memories never die, therefor, you're existence will be forever eternal.
They say that when you're between life and death, your brain replays the memories you created like a clip of your life. Within that time, you see everything that made you happy, everything that made you cry; almost as if ending credits.
I guess that explains it then, yeah -why I can suddenly see my mother kissing my forehead before turning my light out and shutting the door. Why I can remember breaking my elbow at the tender age of three because of Carter. My life -my entire life- was suddenly flashing before my eyes.

"Ah, come on dude! One more game! That's not even fair." Ethan had angrily jumped to his feet, game controller in hand and a determined look on his face. "You cheated!"
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my root beer. "You're a sore loser, Ethan. Accept that."
He turned the game system off and plopped back onto the couch. "You're just afraid you'll lose." He mumbled as he crossed his arms.
"Whatever, we have to go pick up our suits so let's go." I said pushing his feet off the coffee table.
"I'm not so sure I really want to go, Jake. I mean, I've never went to a dance with an actual date before." Ethan said scratching the back of his neck.
"Don't back out on Makayla now, Ethan. You two are bascially the same person and it would be stupid to break up with yourself."
He pressed his lips into a thin line and took a deep breath. "Okay, fine. I guess your right."
I smirk. "Aren't I always."
As we walked out to my car I realized that the clouds were begining to darken as they bunched up. "The girls will be so angry if their dresses get soaked because of the rain."
"Maybe we should just skip it all and go to a movie." Ethan suggested with hope in his eyes.
"I'd seriously consider that but we're lucky we have these girls." I answered truthfully as I stopped at a red light.
"I guess you're right."
I smirked and turned to say that I always am but I stopped short when I saw the giant semi-truck headed towards us.
*Jessica Knight*
"I can't find my damn brush!" I huffed angrily as I threw clothes everywhere and frantically searched for it.
"Just calm down, Jess." Taylor said. "Sit down and I'll find it for you."
"I can't calm down, Taylor! I have to put my dress on, do my hair, my make up, and my nails!"
I can't believe I only gave myself two hours to do all of this. I was procrastinating because I was a little nervous and I knew the next time I put on another beautiful dress, it'll be to my own wedding.
