Chapter 8: Visits and Dinners

Today was the last day Jace was going to be in town. He decided to spend the day with Hunter and I. So, I've planned something's like, visting dad, and going to the fair. Actually that's all I've planned. Jace and Hunter are in the kitchen while I'm getting dressed we all ate breakfast that Hunter made. (Of course.) We only have a couple hours before we take Jace to the airport. I put on my outfit. Jeans, a long sleeved blue shirt, a scarf, and a silver jacket. (A\N: Picture on side.) I walked into the kitchen to see Hunter blushing, and Jace laughing his head off.
"What happened?" I asked. Last time I saw them like this Jace was giving Hunter the "Big brother talk".

"Oh, nothing. Hunter and I were just talking." Jace says smirking.

"Okay." I say dragging the y.

"Let's go." Hunter announced. He just bought a new Wrangler Jeep. I'm pretty sure he would marry it, before marrying me. I climbed into the passenger, while Hunter took the driver side, and Jace got in the backseat. Hunter's hand found mine on the middle console. This was habit for us.
"Where's the first stop?" Jace asked.

"Dad's grave." I say. I look back at him and see him frown. Hunter squeezes my hand for reassurance. I just stayed quiet. I thought he would love to see dad before he leaves. As Hunter parks the car Jace hops out, and slams the door.
"Let me talk to him real quick." I tell Hunter as I unbuckle my seatbelt and hopped out the car. I walked up beside him and he said nothing.

"I haven't been here since the funeral." He says. I know how hard dad's death was on him. Dad loved us and always made time for us. Even if he didn't have time.

"I get how you feel. But, if we want to get through this we have to do it, together." I say giving him a hug. We just stand there hugging each other. We stand there when Hunter gets out of the car. He comes beside me ad takes my hand in his. He kisses my forehead. I love it when he does small gestures like this. We all just stand there quiet. Jace crying, Hunter playing with my hands, and me thinking....

"Stop!!" I shrieked as Hunter and Jace both sprayed me with the water guns at the fair game.

"Surrender!" Jace yells. Of course. He's like a big baby.

"I surrender!" I say as I put down my gun and the water fight stopped.

"That was fun." Hunter says coming to give me a kiss. I kissed him.

"You only get a kiss, because you won me this big stuffed animal." I say as I hug the big blue lion with green mane close to me. (I think lions have manes, and I saw this stuffed animal at Six Flags. I wanted it so bad.) He grabs my hand as we walk to the last ride.

"This is it." I say. After this ride we take Jace to the airport.

"I know." He says. As we stand in line he hugs me. I love my brother. As we near the front of the line, Hunter gets a call, from his sister.

"What's wrong?" I ask him.

"Mary. She just had a miscarriage." He says, disbelief all over his
face.
''What?" I asked.

"We can leave." Jace says.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yeah. This is family emergency. Besides, I need to head to the airport anyways." He says explaining.

"Thanks." Hunter says. We turn and walk to the exit. We go to the airport and drop Jace off.

"I'll miss you." I say as I hug him.

"I'll miss you too." He says.

"I love you."

"I love you too." Then he walks away into the airport. Its always hard saying bye to him. I climb in the car and we are on our way to the hospital.

"How do you feel?" I asked. He has been quiet this whole trip.

"Nervous." Is all he says. I don't try to start conversation, because when Hunter is nervous he does not like to talk. He parks the car and we climb out. He takes my hand and we walk to the front desk. The blonde lady named, Sarah was sitting there.
"Who are you looking for?" She asked. She's nice.

"Mary Williams." Hunter says immediately. He's starting to shake. Something he does when he is worried or nervous.

"Hey, calm down." I say grabbing his face in my hands and giving him a quick peck on the lips.

"Okay.'' He says. Starting to stop his shakes.

"She's in room, 405." The nurse says. We start our walk to the elevator and make our ride to the floor Mary is on. We walk in, Justin, Martha, and Jerry were all in the room. Justin is Mary's boyfriend of two years. Hunter told me he talked about proposing to Mary, but he wants to wait until Hunter and I got married. Mary was whimpering while Justin held her. As soon as she saw us she gasps.
"I didn't know., I'm so careless." She screamed as a new set of tears started to roll down her face. Hunter went to her side whispering calming things in her ear. Justin walked out the room. I followed him. Justin and I were close. Not best friends close, but close. He slid down the wall, head in his hands.
"Are you okay?" I asked. He looked up at me and back down.

"I feel so stupid." He says, punching the ground.

''Hey, its okay. Things happen." I say. He doesn't say anything, he doesn't need to, he is crying silently. That's when I knew, this had to be serious.

After everything had calmed down at the hospital, Hunter and I left. He had some work to do, and Im going out with the girls. Megan has decided she wanted to finally tell the girls, since she was past the early staged of miscarriage, she had some high hopes the baby would survive.... And, so would she. I went to dinner in a black dress. Apparently , we were meeting at a fancy restaurant. Hunter let me drive the jeep, so I looked pretty cool. (Not going to lie.) We all met up at the same time and couldn't control oursleves. Last time we saw each other I was engaged.
"So, what's new?" Taylor asked everyone. A chorus of nothing, went in the air.

"How's wedding planning?" Ashley asked.

"So much is going on I forgot about my wedding." I say chucking slightly.

"Like what?'' Dylan asked.

"Mary and Justin had a miscarriage." I say. Everyone looked at me.

"How is she?" Megan asked. She looked scared. Shes ouof the miscarriage stage and now she has to hear about it.

"She's fine. So why are we here?" I asked trying to change the conversation.

''No idea." Sky says, finally butting into the conversation.

"I actually have an annoucement." Megan says standing up.

"Yeah?" Sky asked.

"..... I'm pregnant."

How do you plan a wedding? Anyways, next chapter. I will be picking out venues and maybe dress shopping, but another girls day!
My birthday is this Saturday, April 4th. Turn Up!!!! Joking. I will be alone :(.
