"The wedding is less than 5 months?" My mom asked.
"Yes ma'am. I need to mail off these invitations soon." I say as I put the invitations in envelopes.
"Do you have your dress?" Mom asked. I asked her to help me, so she came over.
"Nope. I'm getting that soon though." We've been talking about the wedding ever since she got here. Mom has been dealing with stuff, that includes my dad, so she's been busy.
"How are you with Martha?" Mom questioned. Martha and my mom really never talked. Martha didn't like me, which means she didn't like my mom.
"We're good actually. We talked things over." I tell her.
"Thats good." She says. Mom hasn't really talked about dad since his death. I have no idea if she's fine or not.
"Mom?"
"Yes, sweetheart?"
"Truly, how are you with dad's death?"
"I'm getting there." She pauses and sniffles, "Im just not ready to see him not walk you down the aisle. That's his job." She looks at me.
"Mom, I'm always here if you need me." I say rubbing her back. She smiles at me.
"I know, sweetheart." Mom stands up and grabs her purse.
"I have to go. I love you." She comes and kisses my head."Hi, Mrs.Gibson." I hear Hunter greet mom at the door. I don't hear her response, because I'm crying. I hear footsteps, and then Hunter's arms around me.
"What's wrong?" He asked, rubbing my hair.
"My- my mom is having an ha- hard time with dad's death, and I've just now noticed. I'm a horrible daughter." I start to rant. He grabs my face in his hands.
"You're not an horrible daughter. You've been trying to deal with this yourself. That doesn't mean your mom doesn't understand." He kisses my forehead and holds me. This is what I needed.

Hunter and I are eating ice cream after my breakdown. I started to show him the invitations.
"These are perfect.'' He says as he pecks my lips. He is literally the best."How was your day?''
"Good, actually. Mary and I had a sibling day." He smiled proudly.
"That's good. How is she?"
"Great, better. She told me about the venue."
"Oh, yeah. Its beautiful."
"And, kinda expensive."
"I know, I told them I had to talk to you before finalizing it." I take a bite out of my ice cream.
"I say lets go for it."
"Really, a hundred dollars per hour. Our wedding, plus reception is seven hours."
"Whatever you want, you get." He kissed my nose.
"Your the best." I kiss his lips. I start to nibble his ear.
"If I get whatever I want, I want you." I whisper in his ear."You already have me."
