We got to the hospital in an hour and so minutes. I rushed out the car and to the front table.
"I need to see Stanley Gibson." I say.

"Room 303 sweetheart, but Immediate family only." The elderly lady said.

"Daughter, and son in-law." I stated. She nodded her head for us to go. I walked into the room and saw my dad. He was just laying there. He couldn't even pick up his head to see me at the door.
"Hey dad." I mumbled walking to his bed.

"Hey sweetheart, who did you bring?" He asked.
"I brought Hunter." I laughed.

"Hi, sir. I hope you pull through this." Hunter says.

"Please call me, Stanley." my dad recommended. I just looked at him. I felt tears run down my cheek. I wiped them away after awhile. I looked around and noticed one person not here.
"Where's Jace?" I asked.

"We had a argument and he walked out." mom said.

"You have to stop trying to control his life, mom." I say. I walked out the room and called Jace.

"Hey?" he answered.

"Where the hell are you?" I asked.

"Chill, I'm getting food." he said.

"Okay, cause dad needs all of our support."

"I'm coming, bye love you."

"Love you too." I hung the phone and walked back inside. I saw mom and Hunter in a conversation so I went to my dad.

"Dad, you have to stay. I need you to walk me down the aisle." I say showing him my hand.

"Baby girl, I would never leave you on purpose, but this is getting to me. I'm weak and defeated. I have to let God take me. I have no more fight." my dad said. A tear went down my cheek.

"Don't say that dad, but if you leave just know you were my best friend. I love you dad." I kissed his forehead and the machines stopped beeping. I started to cry. My father is gone. Hunter ran over to me and held me. I went to the ground and he went with me. This is just too much. I can't plan a wedding after my father is dead.
"No!" I heard someone say. I looked up to see Jace walking into the room. He stood by dad then walked over to me. He get in front of me and started crying. I was the only person he ever truly cried in front of. I started hugging Jace. That's when it really hit me, my father is gone.

|~*~|

4 days ago my father died, yesterday was his funeral. I sat and watched everyone I love cry over my father. I haven't left my room since then. I've just laid here on my side and do nothing. Hunter tries to get me to do things, but he knows I just need time. We still haven't told everyone about the engagement. My dad knew, but he's not here.
I heard the door open and it was Hunter. He's so supportive. He has been taking off work, for awhile. Just to help me.
"We're having a family dinner tonight. Your mom, brother. Plus my parents and sister. Is that fine?" Hunter asked.

"Yeah, of course. We need to tell them and start with the we-"

"I'm not rushing you to start planning babe.'' Hunter interrupted me.

"But, I want to." I said. "When is family dinner?" I asked.

"2 hours from now."

"Well I have to get ready." I say and walk to the restroom. My reflection is horrible. I have bags under my eyes. My eyes are red, puffy, and bloodshot. I got in the shower, did my hair in curls and did my makeup. It's amazing how you can cover so much with makeup. I put on my white dress with lacie sleeves, that's stops at my knees. With red heels.
"Babe you look good." Hunter says as I walk out and to the kitchen.

"Thanks." I say. Hunter cooked beef roast. You could smell it when you walked in. "So when is everyone getting here?" I ask him.

"Soon, actually everyone is on there way." he says.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!
"I'm coming." I yell. I opened the door to see my future mother in-law.
