Chapter 13: Love Hurts

  Five days had passed since Zelda, Peach, Roy, Pit, and Marth had disappeared. No one really talked about their missing friends. Yet they were all still curious and worried.

"Palutena, Samus, Rosalina!" Link screamed running towards them.

"Woah Link slow down!" Rosalina screamed ,but before Link could do so he bumped right into her. "Dumbass," Rosalina mummered holding her head. Link sat up and scratched the back of his neck flustered.

"Well what did I bump into?" Everyone looked behind them and saw Shulk.

"Oh hey dude what's up?" Link asked getting up.

"Well I was looking for you guys," he answered.

"Well now you found us," Palutena stated the obvious.

"Link why did you run into us in the first place?" Samus asked.

"More like into me," Rosalina murmured as she began to stand up.

"Oh right, well I can't find Ike!" He exclaimed dramatically.

"Lucina!" A voice yelled. Everyone looked down the hall where the voice was coming from. To their surprise Robin was running down the hall.

"Robin? Wow everyone's here." As soon as Shulk said that everyone looked at him. "What? Oh, you mean since their miss-? I'll just shut up," he said embarrassed.

 Palutena sighed and called out to Robin. "Hey what's up?" She asked as Robin came up to them.

"Oh right! Well I can't find Lucina," he said.

"That's weird I also can't find Ike," Link said.

"Why is everyone missing!" Shulk exclaimed.

"Shulk!" Everyone yelled at him.

"Sorry!" He panicked.

"You guys! Let's just go find Lucina and Ike," Palutena said. "How about we split up. Rosalina, Shulk, and Samus search inside. Link and Robin come with me to search outside." They agreed with Palutena's plan and split up in their groups that Palutena assigned them to.

"Let's check their rooms first," Samus said.

"Okay Shulk will check Ike's and we'll check Lucina's," Rosalina said.

"But don't you think they locked their doors?" Shulk asked.

"Nope," the girls said at the same time. "Anyway when we're done we'll meet in the cafeteria," Rosalina suggested. 

The girls headed off and Shulk went into Ike's room. When he was in he closed the door behind him. He looked around the messy room ,but nothing. He decided to look everywhere though just incase. He looked in the closet and then the bathroom. On the mirror there was a sticky note. Shulk took it off and read it outloud."Hi Shulk," Shulk looked confused at the note wondering how Link or Ike knew he would be in their dorm. He turned the note over ,and only one sentence was there. "Love is a knife ,but is he willing to take it?" He said outloud. "Well what the in the hell does that mean?"

"You'll find out Shulk," said a voice behind him. Shulk turned around as fast as lightning ,but to find no one behind him. "Who's there?" Shulk asked shaking.

"I'm soon to be your greatest enemy ,but I'd keep an eye on Robin if I were you," the voice spoke again.

"B-But why?" He asked.

"A series of event will happen that will cause him lots and lots of pain, phsically and emotionally," the voice explained.

"How can I prevent that from happening?" Shulk asked wanting to help his friend.

"I'll tell you, but you'll have to do me a favor."

"What kind of favor?"

"Nothing to big it's a very small favor. I just need a puppet."

"Like a sock puppet?" Shulk asked.

"Yeah sure something like that." Shulk thought and thought he knew his final decision would be very important to the plot of this story ,but it wasn't easy to decide.

In the cafeteria Samus and Rosalina were waiting for Shulk. "Where the hell is he?" Samus asked becoming impatient.

"Samus! We're trying to keep this story PG so no more swearing!" Rosalina responded back.

"Yeah okay sure whatever. Anyway do you think we should search for Shulk?" Samus asked.

"Nah he's fine ,but I think we should go look for Palutena, Robin, and Link," Rosalina said. The two girls headed outside in search of their three friends. "Rosalina! Samus!" The two turned their heads and saw Link and Palutena running for them. "Where's Robin?" Samus asked.

Link and Palutena looked at each other with saddened faces then back at the girls. "Just follow us we'll tell you on the way." Palutena said and as she started to lead them off.

"Where's Shulk?" Link asked before they started to walk.

"He's still inside somewhere," Samus responded.

"Just tell us the story," Rosalina said impatiently.

"Right well let's just say we were walking, searching for Ike and Lucina.

Palutena's P.O.V

While we were walking Robin stopped in his tracks holding his chest. He fell to his knees then Link and I helped him up. "Are you okay Robin?" Link asked helping Robin to his feet.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine," he responded ,but Link and I knew something was wrong. We kept walking until we saw a tree on the mountain with Ike and Lucina sitting under it. "Hey Lucina, Ike!" I shouted to get their attention. The two waved back with smiles on their faces. As we got closer Robins breathes became heavier. We had finally made it to the top of the hill with Ike and Lucina.

"Hey we've been looking all over the place for you guys!" Link said.

"Sorry about that ,but Ike and I have been practicing our sword fighting since my dad assigned us together," Lucina said.

"Well I'm just glad your safe," I said.

"Are you okay Robin?" Ike asked as he saw Robin breathing heavily with his head down. Ike, Link, and I backed up. Lucina put her hand on his shoulder. "Robin it's just a project," she said. He looked up at her with hate in his eyes. Then he used his El Wind to blow her away. She slammed into the tree ,and Ike, Link, and I went to her aid.

"Robin! How could you do that?" Ike shouted.

"I hate all of you!" He screamed gritting his teeth.

"What are you talking about?" I asked in shock from the sudden events.

"This is goodbye you won't see me for awhile," He said as he disapeared into thin air.

Back to third person

When Palutena finished the story they came to the top of the hill. Lucina was there crying with Ike comforting her. "Lucina I'm so sorry," Rosalina said once she saw her.

"I-It's okay," she said whipping awat her tears. "We need to figure out why Robin would say that, and where he vanished to," Samus said.

"Where's Shulk?" Ike asked.

"He's still inside probably still looking for you guys," Rosalina responded.

"We need to go inside anyway come on," Palutena said. The group ran to the school ,and went inside.

"Well he's not in the cafeteria," Samus said.

"And he's not in our room," Link said as he and Ike came running back.

"Then we'll check his room," Palutena suggested. The group ran through the halls then up the stairs that led to the dorms. They ran down the hall then finally made it to Shulk's room. Ike who was leading the group opened the door allowing everyone to come in.

"Look on the bed!"Lucina shouted pointing at a note on the bed. Ike opened it up and read it outloud. "Zelda, Roy, Marth, Peach, and Pit will be returning soon ,but I will be gone for awhile also watch out for Robin from Shulk."
