Life felt meaningless.
Everywhere he went, all he did was messing up everything.
Why was it so hard to be happy for at least one hour straight? Was he that bad of a person who did not deserve anything at all?
The day was getting over and Jaemin didn't know how it went.
After all that arguments with basically everyone, he drove off to his office and continued the day. All day he was packed with files and files only. Other than that he didn't remember what happened.
Renjun?
They met at the police department for obvious reasons.
After one single look, Jaemin didn't like seeing the said male's face infront of him. Renjun seemed to be well aware of that. They did not talk, nor met face to face after that.
The sky was darker than ever.
It said 7.00 pm on his wrist watch.
There he was, standing infront of Jeno's door.
Why?
For what?
Why after everything?
Because he was Jaemin.
Because Jaemin was always the first to apologise if it was mainly his fault. If he was the who who should be responsible for the damage, he would definitely apologise without any problem.
He lifted up his hand to knock on the door. But stopped midway, rethinking his decision.
What if he doesn't want to see me?
What if he's mad at me?
What if we start arguing again?
Is this too soon?
Maybe waiting for two three days would do good.
He shouldn't be this impatient.
Putting his hand down, he turned back to go home. Maybe all he needed was sleep and some rest. The next day would be good. Hopefully.
As he turned back, the door opened making him startled.
"Mister Nana!" There came the familiar greeting.
Knowing that he was visible to the people at the door, he turned his face back. He was greeted by a very happy Jaerin and a very confused Jeno. Their way of dressing looked like they were about to go somewhere.
But it wasn't the clothing pattern that took his attention.
It was something else.
Jaemin almost yelled sorry at the older.
Why?
Because Jeno had a nice red hand mark on his cheek, still very much visible.
"I was waiting for you! See daddy, I told you he will be here!" Jaerin cheered, freeing away from Jeno's hand and jumping on Jaemin for a hug.
The girl could only reach up to his waist, wrapping her tiny arms around it. Jaemin hesitantly hugged her back, his eyes not leaving Jeno's.
"Hey." He said with a neutral face.
