Renjun wouldn't do such a thing.

That's all Jaemin could think of.

I can't do this anymore. I can't. I don't want to. Make it stop.

Renjun, his best friend, his family, his everything, his Renjun wouldn't do that. Never. Not under any circumstances.

Make it stop. I can't. I can't. I can't anymore.

"Why? Does it hurt to hear that from me?" Jeno, being awfully mean, asked through a scoff. "This is exactly how you behaved few minutes ago."

No. He did not agree.

He was sure that he was only saying the truth.

"You yourself know how hard it is." Jeno went on. "How dare you accuse someone for being a victim?"

He did not accuse anyone. He didn't.

He was just trying to explain his point. He would never stoop that low to call anyone names.

"You're like her too, Jaemin. You're another Kang Meisoo." Jeno sounded hurt. "You shouldn't be saying all these stuff. I admit that you're hurt as well, but that doesn't excuse anything."

Another Kang Meisoo?

No, he wasn't.

"I'm not, though." Jaemin said, still having the audacity to smile.

More like he mocked himself for being like that.

"What?" Jeno didn't seem to understand.

Jaemin looked up, his eyes hurting from all the holding back he did.

"I'm not like her." He said helplessly. "You know nothing."

"Then, do you? Do you know about Mei?"

Jaemin nodded his head like a child. "I've heard enough."

"From who?"

"SKJW."

Jeno made a face. "Who?"

"Suspect Kang Jiwoon."

Silence ruled them for a while. Jeno looked shocked to hear that. Good for him.

"How... how did you....?"

Jaemin sighed loudly. He was tired. He felt like he could pass out anytime. With a deep breath, he bent down to catch his knees, wishing the pain to go away.

"Doesn't matter how I found out." He said, straightening up.

"What did he say?" Jeno asked softly.

"About you and Mei."

"And you trust him?"

"His story seems valid." He confirmed. "And the DNA test just proves it."

Jeno didn't question about how Jaemin managed to do that. It was a relief to not talk about it. Jeno looked at his hand, the envelope crushed in his fist.

"But Jeno, did Renjun tell you everything?" He asked defeatedly.

The older nodded, calm and relaxed all of a sudden.

"And you trust him?"

It hurt. He was hurting again. To think that Renjun betrayed him like that made him feel like he was unwanted. He was a mistake. No one really liked him. He was simply a mess.
