Jaemin was evidently feeling the glory of the gun he was holding, his absolute favorite object in the world. Jeno was well aware of that. Just one more pull of the trigger and it was over. Jeno was kind of holding his breath.

"You're not gonna make it."

"Stop distracting me." Jaemin ordered.

"Just admit that you're a loser and go home."

"One more word and I'm aiming at your head instead of the target."

"That's against the rules."

"There are no- Can you please keep your mouth shut?"

"Or what? You're gonna shoot me for real?"

Jaemin adjusted the gun one more time. "You think I can't?"

"Okay!" Jeno interrupted before anyone could say anything else. "I think you both are forgetting that this is a game to win a stupid plushie."

Jaemin dropped his gun down. So did Min. They both turned at Jeno with an equally annoyed glare.

"You just have to ruin everything, don't you?" Min asked, his tone very similar to a certain Lee Donghyuck. "Plushies are not stupid."

"Go play with Jaerin if you can't stop bothering us." Jaemin added, signing at Jaerin who was busy sticking cotton candy on Soha's hair.

"I've been saying that for only thirty years." Min agreed.

"You're not even twenty- not the point." Jeno said, crossing his hands over his chest. "I think you guys are a little too invested in a silly game. And Min, you literally stand no chance, Jaemin is a whole fucking detective. A good one."

"Aw, you think I'm good." Jaemin smiled.

"Gross." Min said. "You guys are way too old for this."

"You're just jealous because Taehyun didn't call you last night to give your goodnight kiss." Jaemin pointed out.

Min let out an inaudible gasp.

Jeno raised a brow. "Taehyun didn't do what now?"

"Don't tell him that!" Min slapped Jaemin on the arm. "No one knows yet!"

"Not my problem."

"No one knows about what?" Jeno asked further.

"Nothing." Min shook his head. "I'll tell you later."

Jeno looked at each of them in turns. Min gave a convincing look to Jaemin, to which the older nodded calmly.

Jeno felt offended.

"You know what's unfair?" He asked. "You making Jaemin your new secret keeper instead of me. I've known you from your birth. Jaemin is just some guy. You can't replace me with him."

"Okay, two things," Min started, a little confused. "First, I was like six years old when we first met. Second, Uncle Nana is not just some guy. He's amazing. He can shoot, you can't. He can cook, you ca-"

"Okay, that's enough." Donghyuck came by, stopping his son right on time, even though Jeno could see how proud he was to witness Jeno getting dragged. "I thought I asked you to watch over your brother."

"He's busy getting bullied." Min said with a wide smile. "Why are you here? I thought you needed sometime alone with dad."

"I can't exactly make out with him in a carnival."
