A Wolfs Journey

A Heated Problem

Luz P.O.V

I'm looking at her and she's just laying there, seeming fine now. I lay back down when I hear something outside, I brush it off when I hear something walking around. I hear a growl from Amity as I stand up but ignore her and go to see what it is.

I look outside and see a wolf wandering around, seeming to look for something. I focus on the wolf and this time it's not Lucia and Amelia. I instantly get on guard and watch him wander until he trots over to me.

"Your on my territory" I snap out at him and he backs down a little "sorry, sorry but I couldn't help to wonder, is there another female here by chance?" I glare at him and he gets a nervous look "what if there is?"

I growl at him and he gets the point and hurries his words out "I-I was told to look for a wolf named Amity. I was told she's looking for a mate." I pull my ears back and make myself more aggressive looking.

"Who sent you" I spit this out coldly making sure he doesn't try anything, "a-another wolf named Odalia" I growl out and he looks scared and it's like someone else controls me for a second. "Well, leave. She has a mate already, and that's me."

He looks shocked, nods quickly and apologizes before running off, I turn and head back into the den and find Amity sitting there giving me a look. I gulp and stare at her "I-" she growls before I can say anything.

"Wh-what? What did I do" she makes her way over to me and nips my neck "I'm hungry" I look at her and tilt my head "but theres an elk sitting right there" Amity growls at me again "I don't want that, I want deer."

She snaps at me giving me a glare "o-okay, I'll go get you one" I make my way out of the den and glance back and she's kicking the elk and growling at it. I turn around and make my way into the forest searching for a deer.

I quickly make my way through the forest when I find a deer on it's own. I look around to make sure me and it are alone and creep up on it. once I'm close enough I run after it and grab on to it's underside and it kicks me while I'm at it.

I get stuck under it and it kicks me again when I manage to grab it's leg and plant myself and harm it enough where it collapses and attempts to get up but I jump on it and kill it before it can. I rip out a chunk of meat and trot my way back to the den holding as much meat as possible.

I make my way back when the pain hits and I limp my way back and once I'm there I find Amity digging a hole. I drop the meat and watch her, dig not saying a word hoping not to disturb her. I sit watching for a little longer when she looks up at me.

"I brought you your deer" she trots over and picks up the deer then sits with it, I sigh and limp over and sit next to her. She looks at me and growls and I move over a bit and she pulls off a piece of the meat and scarfs it down.

I look over at the hole she was digging, I walk over to it and she growls at me. I look over at her and she's watching me, so I sit down and leave it alone. "So, wanna go play in the field?" she looks at me and rolls her eyes and heads inside.

~~2 days later~~

I wake up and head outside not wanting to be near Amity when she wakes up since the past three days she's been snappy and aggressive towards me and I still have a limp from the other day. I limp my way out to the front of the den and lay outside.

"Luzzz" I lift my head up and look towards the den after hearing Amity call out to me. I fold my ears down and curl my tail up "Luzzz! Come hereee!" I turn around and head back into the den trying not to aggravate her this morning.

I head in and find her laying on the floor laying on her back, "yes?" she rolls back over and walks over to me. "Amity, what is it?" she whines and rubs herself against me, "come on Luz, you know whyyy" she whines out again rubbing herself closer.

I tilt my head even more confused now "I, I really don't" Amity sits in front of me and pouts. She walks around me and throws her paws over my back "Luz, come on you know whyyy" I sigh "I really don't, you could tell me."

She hops down, trots around in front of me and sits right in between my front legs and turns her head at me with a look in her eyes. I shift back and she just gets closer to me, "Amity stay here, I'll be right back."

"Alright Luzy, be back soon" I trot out looking at her and she lays down wagging her tail. I turn around and sprint off heading to Lucia's den hoping to find her or Amelia home. I pick up Lucia's scent from her marking and soon stumble upon her den.

"Lucia!" I call for her but I don't see her anywhere when an annoyed voice calls out "will ya shut the hell-" I look over and Amelia comes out of the den but once she sees it's me she calms down "oh, hey Luz."

"Hey, Amelia I uh have a slight problem at the den." Amelia looks at me tilting her head at me "what problem?" "It's with Amity, she's been acting weird for the past couple of days" Amelia nods her head listening.

"Weird like how?" "Well for three days she was really aggressive to me and now today since she woke up she hasn't left me alone." she nods and sighs "I see what's happening" I tilt my head looking at her "Luz, it's simple your girlfriend, is in heat."

"I-in heat" Amelia nods "yeah, she's in heat. Now, go take care of her" "but, can't you help at all?" Amelia sighs "Luz, first off no, because this is between you and her and second no because I have stuff to deal with."

"What stuff?" "Pup, stuff" I turn around and see Lucia behind me "Lucia" Amelia pipes up and wags her tail and Lucia heads over to her. "Wait, your telling me you two are having?" Lucia nods "yeah, this one over here goes into heat early so, yeah we have our own things to deal with."

I sigh wave them off and make my way back to the den, I'm thinking of a million things at once still in shock over this but before I get there I kill a rabbit and head back with it. I sigh and head into the den and find Amity on the floor whining.

"Uh Amity?" She whips around and runs up to me wagging her tail "Luz! Your back" she then pouts "why'd you leave?" Lucky me planned a head for this "well I went to get you this" I push the rabbit to her and she grins. "Aww you didn't have to, I just wanted you."

She wags her tail and picks up the rabbit and tosses it over to the side of the cave and snuggles up to me again then wraps her jaws around my muzzle. "Alright, I get what this is now Amity." she stops and wags her tail "just give me some space and let's get this over with" she wags her tail more and whines then trots over to the back of the cave.
