Luz P.O.V

I look between the two running off and Amity, trying to get a grip on what just happend. "So, a den together?" Amity just sits down and puts her paw on her forehead looking like she's figuring things out.

"You, and me? In a den? Together?" she just seems to be throwing words together trying to make a sentence but can't. "I mean, yeah that's kinda how this works?" I want to answer her fully but I just give her a question right back.

Amity lays down curling up and covering her head with her paws "you alright?" I walk over to her and lay in front of her. She somewhat looks at me and groans "Luz, do you know what having our own den even means?"

I stare blankly trying to think of what she means, trying to figure out what is making her so embarrassed, but I can't think of anything so I just shake my head. "Luz, I love you but sometimes I want to strangle you."

"Why?" Amity sighs and sits up and looks me dead in the eyes "Luz, it means having pups" I just nod and she gets a look on her face and it finally hits me on what she means. "O-oh" I can only sit there staring at the ground.

I tap my paw on the ground trying to prosses this now I realize something that Amity isn't going to be the happiest about. "Hey, uh you know what tommorow starts right?" she stares at me again and twitches her ear.

"What? Is it important?" "Well... yeah, it sorta is" Amity gives me a questioning look hearing the tone in my voice "Luz, what is it" I avert my gaze from her and spit it out "tommorow is February first." I leave it at that not saying anything else and let her figure it out.

"February first?" I look back over at her and drop my ears once the look of realization hits her. She looks over at me and I just lower my head and my ears even lower until they can't go any lower, and Amity seems to get more red by the second.

"So, tommorow we're getting our den I'm assuming?" I do a semi nod not quite sure she just hums and sits next to me. "Well, let's just lay here until we get tired and we'll figure this out tommorow" I nod and we lay leaning up against each other.

~~The Next Day~~

I wake up with a yawn and jump when I see Vee staring at me "morning Luz! You and Amity are so lucky to be getting your den today!" I yawn again still tired and just look at her "and you know this how?"

I question her and she pipes up "Lucia told me, before she left with Amelia to their den this morning" she stops for a second "also someone's here for you" she leaves my room and that's when I catch Amity's scent but much stronger then normal.

I run out of my room not even bothering to make myself presentable, and look around and spot her by the entrance of the den just looking at her paws with her tail curled around herself. I make myself over to her and she looks up at me with an off look.

"Hey, Luz. Amelia dragged me here this morning.." she trails off not quite looking at me "you okay?" I look at her worried and she let's out a low growl but leaves it at that. I get the hint and look around for mom.

I spot her talking to Hunter and I head over to the two of them. "Hey, uh what's happening with the whole den thing today?" mom looks at me and smiles "well you and Amity have to go and look for the perfect den for your and your future family."

I nod and say bye to them and I head back over to Amity, "so, you ready to get going?" Amity nods and I make my way out and she follows behind but slowly. We work our way out to the field and I scan the area and spot a rock formation in a closed off area surrounded by trees.

"Hey, what about over there?" Amity looks over to where I'm facing and she just nods and we start making our way over but slowly so Amity can keep up with me. It takes about ten minutes but we make it and Amity sits down away from then den while I search in and around to see if it's empty.

I sniff around and find no scent but then I head to the front of it and head inside and lucky me it's empty besides a couple of bats who decided to make home here but hey fly out once they see me. "Ami, the den is completely clear, what do you think of it?"

She looks around then gets up and looks inside and lays herself down. "Guessing that's a yes?" she glares over at me and I shut myself up. "Go mark around it." she says this flatly and I nod and head all around the den and mark everything needed.

I takes awhile but soon the place is marked and before I head back I make my way to the hunting grounds and spot just what I'm looking for, a young elk. I creep my way to it and freeze as it looks around and walks away from the heard.

"To easy" I say quietly as I near it, keeping watch that nothing else tries to steal my kill. I get close to it and right as it looks away I lunge and grab ahold of it's throat. It panics and instantly kicks and pulls back causing me to get thrown off but not without ripping a hole in it's throat.

It stumbles away but soon starts to fall as it's losing tons of blood. It doesn't take long for it to fall and fight to get up but fails and dies slowly right there. I trot over and get a good grip on it and drag it to our new den.

As I'm dragging it closer and closer I'm picking up a scent that I've never smelled but something triggers in me and I some how know it. I hurry and bring it to the entrance of the den and the scent it stronger then ever.

"Amity!" I call to her and I just hear her whine from inside and I run in as fast as possible. I find her laying in the same spot looking like she's in agony "Amity, what's wrong?!" She looks at me with pain written on her face but she just stares at me.

"D-do you want something to eat? I brought elk?" She nods and I head out again and bring it over to her and she pushes herself up and grabs a little and lays back down. I make my way over and lay net to her and she growls deeply at me and I just look at her.

Amity is giving me a glare and push myself away from her and she just looks sad. I look at her for a second before she crawls over and lays against me, I tilt my head confused on what she's doing. I ignore it and go to grab elk when she bites my paw, I lay back down and she seems fine but when I move my tail so it's not stuck under me she growls at me again until I stop moving.
