Daffodil
My heart was pounding with rage. It's been two weeks since the other ancient tribes were here. Two weeks since the attack they stood there and watched us struggle to fight. Two weeks since Leela's murder... And they had the nerve to come back here uninvited?!
On the one hand, I was glad that they were here, because I got to see my friends without pretending to sneak out to another boring ass party, but on the other hand, I was pissed that they even dared to step foot on our land again after not honoring the peace treaty that had been in effect for thousands of years.
Their pride, ego, and snootiness caused so many lives to be lost that day on the battlefield, and they still think that they have the right to come here like they own the place and demand to see us to discuss our powers? Who the fuck do they think they are?!
I don't give a shit if they're angry about us not telling them. They don't have the right to be angry. You know who does have the right to be angry? Me, Mama, the twins, and most of all, Derik; his mate was ripped away from him because of their pride, and we have yet to see him. He's been going through it since Leela's passing. I just hope that he's okay.
"Dilly, our parents aren't really in a listening mood," Kelsey mumbled, trying to get through to me and my anger, as she tried her best to keep up with my pace.
All my friends, including baby Sage —who was wrapped up in Mali's arms— were trying their hardest to keep up with me as I stormed through the packhouse towards the Grand Hall where the rest of the tribes were with my parents and brother.
They tried their best to convince me not to barge in and make a scene, but my anger was too severe right now for me to listen to them. Besides, when was it a good time to tell them about the Unity other than now? They needed to know and there was no way they were getting out of this.
"Too fucking bad. They're the reason so many of our people are dead! They need to answer for their actions!" I growled and burst through the doors of the Grand Hall with all my might.
The doors slammed against the wall, causing a loud 'BOOM' to echo throughout the room, gaining everyone's attention.
My parents sent me a warning glare to not speak and say anything to jeopardize the treaty, but I didn't care to heed it; they needed to hear this.
Everyone's attention was on me, and I used it to my advantage.
"ALRIGHT! LISTEN THE FUCK UP!! AND I MEAN FUCKING LISTEN!!" I felt my eyes slowly turn lavender as my wolf began to surface.
I stood in the front of the room with my friends by my side. While I knew they were nervous about facing their parents, I also knew that they believed in our plans to bring everyone together to protect each other. The feud between the tribes has got to end, and if it doesn't end with us, then who will it end with?
My breathing was ragged as I faced the crowd of scowling tribes.
"I hope you're all happy with yourselves..." I began. "Leela, along with so many others from my and Conner's tribes are dead now because of your hatred, egos, and pride! Do you all have any idea what you've done? The agreements that you've broken? The families that you've allowed to be torn apart?! And for what?! Because you think you're better than us, more powerful, more favored by the Gods?!" I growled.
My anger, anguish, and disappointment took over, and I couldn't hold back the tears as they spilled onto my cheeks.
"And then to make matters worse, you disrespect my pack by forcing entry onto our lands and demand that we explain ourselves about our powers?! As if you have the right to know anything about our abilities and what we can do! What makes any of you think you have that right after what you did... Wait, I'm sorry, after what you didn't do?!"
