Y/N POV:

I didn't even realise my mind drifting off to sleep and the next time my eyes scanned the room, it was already late in the morning. To my surprise, Anakin and Ahsoka had already left but they must be incredibly busy which is why I was not the least bit disappointed. In fact I was incredibly grateful and happy that they checked up on me immediately after arriving and spent so much of their time to keep me company and make sure I wasn't bored. I caught myself feeling comfortable and at ease throughout my train of thoughts that mainly resolves around the events from last evening. They truly are family.

I tried to get up from my assigned bed which was a bit painful but it seems to have gotten a thousand times better overnight, that seems really weird but doesn't bother me too much. At least I could move again. I was still sitting on the bed, stretching my back and legs a bit when something caught my eye. On my nightstand laid a data pad with a sticky not on its surface. The note said:
This is my part of the report from the last mission, I don't have the time to give it to Rex and the doctors said you might be able to deliver it if you feel well enough. I was able to get my hands on something called chocolate, it tastes really good, if you would be so nice to deliver the report I would give it to you.
Get well soon,
-Anakin
P.S. Rex should either be in his room or literally anywhere else on the ship lol. Good luck!

It was really impressive that he managed to scribble all of that on a single sticky note, his handwriting is really messy which made it quite the challenge to decipher his message but I was pretty certain to have understood the most important parts of it.
Report, has to get to Rex. Got it.

After a quick checkup with the medical droids it was clear that it would be no problem for me to fulfill the task and get the reward. What could chocolate be anyways? Honestly I didn't even care anymore, anything's welcome to have a different taste for once than these tasteless cubes. Something felt a bit off though, like I was going right into a trap. I brushed the feeling off and left my room with the data pad.

Walking through the corridors still felt a bit weird, my body is still weakened from everything and the droids said I shouldn't overdo it and not walk for longer than 30 minutes because my legs could give out from being too sore and exhausted. I didn't want to disobey them because they know everything about health, anatomy and medicine that is known but somehow I couldn't seem to find him. He wasn't in the cafeteria, the bridge, the training rooms or the entertainment rooms. My legs already started to feel tingly and heavy, there wouldn't be much time left. The only other option that stays is his room but at this point I believed him to have just evaporated.

Getting to Rex's quarters was harder than expected, I couldn't even walk steadily anymore, occasionally one of my knees would give in almost making me meet the ground. I was sweating profusely and my heart was beating like I'd have just run a marathon. Even if I got to his room, how could I go back? My body would be too drained for any physical activity for at least a few hours. My muscles were getting more and more sore and the last bit of the way I had to support myself on the wall. A breath of relief left my mouth when I finally arrived. I knocked on the door and used it to keep myself standing.

Suddenly it opened and my body already prepared for the floor. To my surprise that didn't happen. I fell right into Rex's chest and he held me up by the elbows, groaning uncomfortably. My mind didn't process everything as fast as my eyes could watch. „Y/n? Are you okay?..." I pushed myself off his chest to stand up, still being supported by his firm grip on my arms. Wait- why does this feel so-?
OH MY GOD!

I blinked a few times, my hands still on his chest, his bare chest. He only wore a pair of comfortable looking pants. „Y/n! Are you there?..." I watched a few drops of water run down his chest and only now saw all those scars scattered across his torso. If my face wouldn't have been red already from all of this exhaustion, it would've exploded to the look of a tomato right this moment.
