I sulked in the corner of the room. Standing away from the other gods and goddesses trying to come to terms with the reality I caused.

I could tell you about it, paint it like I no fault. I would be lying, it was all my fault. I had done all of this. I'd ruined his life, and corrupted another's, while destroying my own.

You see, there is this ancient set of rules meant to keep the balance in the world.

Yeah, the ancient gods and goddesses were a little bit more of the say . . . Adulterous kind.

Well, Zeus had an affair on his many wives, with women that later became the wives of the shameless man. When his many sons had to fight for their spot on the thrown and many died there was the idea of laws being tossed on the council of Elders.

But when one son accidentally made a child with his half sister, there was a revolt, and the child and mother were killed, the man imprisoned for inappropriate conduct and familial rape.

The mess was made, and the rules were created. It was easy to live by, and the punishments are harsh, to make examples and stop any other fools from making the mistakes.

Too bad I just couldn't learn. I guess that's just how my book was written.
