Aspen- sorry! Aden was mad. I could tell, but I had my proof that I was looking into the eyes of my childhood best friend.
Aden, yes! I got it right! Yeah, yeah, uh huh! Sorry, anyway Aden had Aspen's
eyes. The impossible shade of dark blue that bordered on purple.
Though they were faded and a little bit less focused they were definitely his eyes.
However, these eyes weren't filled with kindness. They didn't regard me in any particular favor like Aspen. Even worse, they looked at me with confusion and distaste. Like I was this horrible being and I couldn't be trusted.
That and, he didn't know me. Didn't know who I was, or who he himself was.
I didn't know how to reach him. I honestly didn't. I was so confused, and I didn't know how to fix it.
And I'd claimed him as family to the shelter he'd been living in. His sister for gods sake. I knew he knew it wasn't true.
But now, I couldn't leave him be. I didn't want to turn into smoke after this year. And I didn't want to lose my best friend forever.
But it looked like I would be playing with love and his heart to accomplish this. I didn't like the thought of that either.

That monster. That lying evil little bitch. Took me long enough to find her. The gun shot alerted my attention, but I knew she was still alive, I could taste it. I knew that little meddling little bastard was too.
Kenna, you messed with me for the last time.
I smirked as I turned away. Doesn't she understand that humans don't like what they can't explain.
Baby, it's a shame I'm going to have to take you out, you really look like fun. Too bad.
