"Roses or Chocolate?"

"Is that even a question?"

I was laying on my bed, staring at the ceiling while I talked to Michael over the phone.

"You're right, both, I should take both." There was a pause on the other end of the line. "Should I wear my maroon hollister button up with white stripes or the-"

"Don't even mention the palm tree one." I warned him. "This isn't a high school date."

"Maroon button up it is."

I laughed, rolling my eyes even though he couldn't see me.

"I can't remember the last time you put this much effort into a date, you two must've really hit it off."

"We did," He gushed over the girl he had met while working at the cafe, "and you would have known that if you hadn't left on a secret mission to god knows where without telling me or answering any of my messages. Jesus christ Y/N I thought you had died!"

"Aren't you being a little melodramatic Michael? It's not like this is the first assignment I've had overseas."

"You're right, it's not the first. And I know your job isn't exactly a walk in the park, hell you're risking your life everyday, and I can't help but to worry about my best friend."

I smiled knowing that Michael always kept my safety in his thoughts, but it also hurt that I couldn't tell him where I was or tell him if I was truly okay.

"I don't know y/n I just have a bad feeling about this case, I wish you'd just come home already."

"I'm sorry, I know this isn't exactly what you signed up for when you became my best friend."

"Your damn right it's not. Why couldn't you have become a school teacher or a boring office worker? Did you really have to go all 007 on me?"

I laughed.

"I'm a glorified narc, not an undercover international super spy."

"Hmm...maybe I should reconsider this whole friendship thing," He teased, "Wouldn't want people to know I'm friends with a cop."

"Shut up." I rolled my eyes.

"So is there any cute secret agents in whatever country you're in right now?"

"Mmm..." I paused, feeling my cheeks become warm as agent Kim entered my mind, "There might be one."

"Might be?" I could hear the grin in Michael's voice, "Care to elaborate?"

"Well there isn't much to elaborate on. He's a cute guy and he might have flirted with me..." I giggle like a teenager with a school crush. "...but it's too soon to say, and there's still a certain asshole I have to deal with first."

I heard a buzz and I looked over towards the spare cellphone I was given for my undercover identity.

"...Speaking of the asshole," I muttered as I read Haechan's name on the caller ID, "The idiot is calling me so I have to go now."

"Sounds like you really hate this guy."

"Oh trust me I do."

I heard an annoying chuckle on the other end of the line.

"What's so funny?"

"Oh nothing, it's just the last time you hated a guy with so much passion you ended up falling completely head over heals for him. What was his name again? Masen...Matthew...Mat?"

"Mark." I sighed out.

"That's right, Mark Lee."

"I did not fall head over heels for him." I denied the accusation. "It was a small crush and I was over it in a week."

"Sure you were." He teased, fully knowing that I crushed on him for the rest of that school year.

"I was, I swear I was."

"Okay I believe you."

No he didn't.

"I'm just saying be careful or you'll have yourself another Mark Lee incident. "

"Yeah Yeah whatever, we'll continue this conversation another day."

I didn't wait for him to say goodbye before switching over to Haechan's incoming call. It was only one day after our date, what could he possibly want so soon?

"I thought we settled on you loosing my number after our date?"

"Ouch...And here I thought you enjoyed spending time with me."

"Really?" I forced and innocent tone full of excitement, "I guess I should call my agent and tell her I'm ready to start my acting career."

"I'm sorry, did you say something? You're voice is breaking up."

I rolled my eyes, kicking me feet up against the headboard in boredom.

"Did you need something or did you just call to be annoying?"

"Are you free tomorrow?"

Tomorrow?

Tomorrow was Sunday. Johnny wouldn't be back till Tuesday meanwhile Darren and Jennifer still had no luck finding any leads on their end. The logical thing to do was to lay low and wait till Johnny came back so we could regroup with any new info, but still if there was any chance I could...

"Depends, for you no..."  I teasingly strung him along, "...For anyone else, maybe."

I could sense his smirk from the other end of the line.

"I'll pick you at 8 Am."

"I never said yes." I protested.

"Oh and wear something you're not afraid to get dirty."

What did that mean?

Before I could ask him he had already hung up.

Damn it Lee, what are you getting me into this time?
