Failure vs Genius

In the audience:
Sakura is deep in thought with a worried look on her face.
"Let me guess. You're worried about Sasuke?" Carla asks, looking up at her.

"Uh..." Sakura takes time to answer.

"He may not be here yet, but this is no time to get depressed." She adds.

"Yeah, don't be such a lump. Aren't you gonna at least cheer Naruto on?" Ino agrees and asks.

Sakura quickly smiles, "Yeah, you're both right."

"That's more like it, not that the hopeless runt has a chance of winning." Ino taunts.

"Come on, He's not the bad." Sakura defends.

"The match hasn't even started yet, so you're too quick to judge." Carla agrees.

"Not that bad? Is that the best you guys can do?" Ino taunts.

"You sure thought the same thing when he was against kiba in the prelims, but got proven wrong." Carla argues, "He's a clown, but he still won."

"Except he's against a hyuga, that says it all." Ino shrugs, "He's not winning this one."

Carla scoffs while her and Sakura watch.

Meanwhile, Naruto and Neji stare each other down, glaring dead in the eyes.

"You got something you wanna say to me?" Neji smirks.

Naruto puts a fist out and declares, "Only what I told you the last time... I vow to win!"

"He has the look... he's calmer now." Neji activates his byakugan and gets into his hyuga stance, "Heheh, so much the better for me. I can't wait to see the look of despair on your face when you know that vow is impossible to speak." He smirks and taunts.

As the wind blows around them, "Are we gonna stand here talking all day! Let's get to it then!" Naruto declares, "Show me what you got!"

The participants stare down as the wind blows as well.

"Go get him Naruto!" Gon thought, wishing him luck.

"Alright, now let the first match begin!" Genma announces.

The two glare and wait each other out to make the first move and after a minute, Naruto attacks with 3 Kunai's, which neji deflects easily.

"Figured Naruto would attack first." Killua thought, "A frontal attack seems reckless though".

Naruto rushes in and goes into close combat straight away, but Neji knows his moves via seeming his chakra points and reflects each blow.

"Naruto, watch out!" Sakura exclaims from the audience.

Neji gets up close and strikes him in the shoulder.

"Aaaah....!" Naruto felt that and gets sent flying back.

"What did he do?" Gon mutters.

"If I recall, his eyes go for the chakra points." Killua said.

"If so, then he must have located one of them and jabbed it." Wendy gets it.

Naruto pants and slowly gets up.

"I missed." Neji gets his error.

"Almost blew it, if I get too close then all my chakra points will be gone. I'll have to fight from a distance." Naruto thought.

"Do you understand? You can't defeat me." Neji taunts.

"Heh, get real, I was just seeing what you got." Naruto rebukes, recovering, "And now that we're done warming up." He does a hand sign, "Mult-Shadow Clone Jutsu!!" He summons four more clones, preparing kunai attacks.
