Team Job: Chunin Exams

Into the Tower

By nightfall:
They finally reach the tower after 2 hours.

"*pant**pant*" They are tired out and sit on the ground from moving around all day, covered in dirt and scratches.

"We made it... before the day almost ended." Gon pants.

"There were no teams... we encountered along the way either." Wendy adds.

"The use of Ren kept our presence hidden perfectly... the whole way at that." Killua adds too.

"Let's go inside..." Carla suggests and is worn out after using a lot of magic in her wings, "We finally made it out of that creepy forest."

They get up and walk inside the tower, seeing it a little empty.

"The way it is in here, there's not really any teams that made it here yet." Gon looks around.

"More like, there's none." Carla looks around, "It's like we're the only ones here."

"Well, the third day just started." Wendy says, "No teams would make it here that fast and easily."

"On top of that, they would have to try and avoid getting ambushed by any teams, which there were some all over the place." Killua adds, "We made it here just now because we kept moving and hide our presence using Ren for the last 2 hours."

They kept walking around.

"Even your enhanced hearing helped us to move away from teams who where nearby too." Gon looks at wendy, "Dragon slayers sure are amazing."

"Heh... uh, thanks." Wendy giggles awkwardly and scratches her head.

"A combination of that and ren was great teamwork." Killua smiles.

"He's right." Carla smiles and nods

Gon smiles before looking at his jacket, "This sure is messed up."

"How'd that happen?" Killua asks.

"That grass ninja I fought messed this up and burned a little bit of it, haven't worn it since then either." Gon explains, "I'll just wait till after the exams are over to fix this."

"You could put it in killua's item bag till then." Wendy suggested.

"What she said." Killua sticks out his hand.

"Alright." Gon nods and hands killua his messed up jacket, wearing only his black tank-top undershirt.

Killua fits it one in part of the bag before they proceeded.

They come across a room and go in it, finding Team 8 a good little distance away.

"No one's here..." Hinata says.

"So are we the first one's here?" Kiba chuckles and wonders.

"No, I definitely felt another's presence." Shino declines that.

"Hey, Kiba!" Gon waves and they go over to team 8.

"Oh? It's you guys." Kiba turns to them.

"Wow, you're all here too." Hinata is happy to see.

"Yep, it took awhile and it was tough, but we did it." Wendy nods.

"Something tells me, you guys just got here?" Shino guesses.

"Yeah, about ten minutes ago." Killua nods.

Akamaru is shivering in fear while laying on the floor.

"Are you okay, akamaru?" Kiba kneels down and let's him.

"What's up with the puppy?" Gon asks.

"He's been shaking like this for 12 hours now." Shino replies.

"12 straight hours?" Wendy mutters.
