Chapter Ten

Not mine anymore...

Saskia POV

I sat down. They had introduced the next fight. I didn't take much notice of the event anymore. I haven't looked at my mate. I mind linked my dad and Nia they are both by his side. He's starting to come around.

My dad advised me to stay, I know I wouldn't be any help to my brother. But I was desperate to see him.

There was a short break, I walked back to the preparation room, where there was food and drinks on a table. I made myself tea and sat down.

It wasn't long. James walked in, I hadn't looked at him for a while when I gazed at him, he looked dirty, tired and upset, he had a few marks that hadn't healed on his chest.

We hadn't said anything. My wolf wanted me to comfort our mate look after him. I wasn't going to even with all the noises in my head

"you should eat something, a drink is not enough"

Why was he concerned about me.

"there's no need to worry about me"

He went to the table and took a bottle of water and drank it.

"if anyone should be eating its you"

"today is nothing, I will survive"

He hasn't eating anything.

"don't you have a few more fights"

"yes"

"stubborn aren't you"

"like someone else I know, how about we both eat together, then both of us get what we want"

I stood up and walked to the table. He was watching intently. I started to pick up a carrot and placed it in my mouth.

Before I knew it he took the carrot out of my mouth and kissed me.

I let him again, what was wrong with me. Nobody's had this effect on me before.

I eventually pulled away.

"let's eat"

"I'm happy with that it if you are"

"food not our faces off"

He smiled, it made him younger than his stern normal look.

We were filling our plates, he looked upset with the next question

"How's your brother doing".

"I have been talking to dad and Nia and he's come around, a headache nothing else wrong with him"

"that's good news"

"yes, they still wouldn't let me see him. They have told me to wait"

"if he's okay, there's no need?"

"I love my brother and I need to see him, he would do the same if it was me, he would probably climb a mountain or run hundreds of miles to see me. All our family are the same"

"sounds like your close"

"we are like most families I guess. What's your family like"

He goes tense.

"my parents died when I was young. I didn't have any siblings. My dad's beta brought me up, who was mate less"

I felt sorry for him, sounded a lonely life.

"I'm very sorry for your loss James"

"I don't want you to feel sorry for me"

"I didn't mean it like that"
