New Project

Third Person's PoV

"Good evening, Mr. Lee."

Jihoon bowed down at his CEO once he walked in, greeting him back with a soft smile on his face, but he couldn't lie, he was nervous.

So nervous.

"Please sit down.", the CEO smiled after Jihoon obeyed and sat on the free chair there was in front of the desktop, "As you can see, 17 Carat is getting so many sales, people already asking for even more content."

Jihoon nodded as his smile grew slightly wider, feeling genuinely proud at himself for it, "Yes, sir. I'm so happy it is successful-"

"However, that's not what I called you for." Jihoon soon shut his mouth as the CEO interrupted him, letting his superior continue, "As I mentioned before, people are demanding for more, and we need to make them happy."

Jihoon wasn't understanding where the conversation was going, even if deep down he already got the idea, he just didn't want to hear it, "What do you mean sir?"

"I started a new project. A second mini album, and I'm sure you can do it, right? You never disappoint, Jihoon."

The boy was left dumbfounded when he heard 'second mini album'.

He just finished the first one, long weeks overworking himself so he could get it done, leaving the boys behind, fighting with his boyfriend.

And now they're expecting him to do another album without getting any rest from the first one.

It was already stressful, but Jihoon couldn't deny the offer.

He had to accept it, he couldn't let them down.
He couldn't let Seventeen down.

"Yes, sir, I won't disappoint."

"I knew I could count on you. Choi Seungcheol will also be informed about this after we end this meeting, I just thought I should inform you first so I could get your opinion."

'As if I had an opinion about this..'

Jihoon just closed his eyes before opening them back and smiled at his boss, "Glad to know, sir."

"Great, I'm glad we got to the conclusion of this, now you may leave."

Jihoon just nodded and stood up, bowing towards him before turning away and leaving the room, completely forgetting his boyfriend was waiting for him outside eagerly.

"Hey, Ji-... what happened?" the elder asked with worry once he noticed Jihoon's mood sinking, knowing something happened back with the CEO, "What did he say? If you don't have to talk about it yet, we can wait-"

"He started a new project."

Soonyoung's mouth remained shut as Jihoon interrupted him, tilting his head confused once he processed the information in that short and bold phrase, "A new project? But we just-"

"Finished? Yeah, exactly. And I have to start thinking about a new one already and.." Jihoon's gaze softened as he looked up and noticed Soonyoung's worry on his eyes, feeling awful for worrying his boyfriend over nothing, he already worried him enough, "Hey, babe, it's fine. You know I can do this, and don't worry, I'll take breaks and won't overwork myself." Jihoon lied, hopefully soothing Soonyoung's worry away, which it kinda did as he saw his gaze relaxing a bit.

"You sure? Maybe we can find a way to convince the CEO and let us more free time-"

"No, Soon, it's just fine. Besides, we're idols now. We must keep working so we can get bigger, right? Just wait till everyone knows our name, just like you said back in the rooftop, remember?" Jihoon smiled when he saw Soonyoung's slow nod, tiptoeing so he could peck his boyfriend's cheek, "If I need help, I'll ask for it, ok?"
