The Performance

Jihoon's PoV

I was in my last class before lunch, that means, after this class, we had the performance. Oh god, we were going to perform in front of people, a lot of people.

I took a deep breath and thought about how good we actually are and how great we are going to do then and relaxed. I also tried to not think about what happened back at Wonu's place with Soonyoung. Even I had no idea what the hell happened, I just, when I saw how caring and attentive he was my heart just exploded and I had no idea what to do, I just stayed there and stared at him, blushing and stuttering. 

It never actually happened to me and yeah, I freaked out and ran away from there. I'm still trying to figure out why did i act like that, mostly because it was towards Soonyoung..

I mean, yeah, he's not bad, he's cute, I must admit that, and he's really nice and a good friend. He can be really annoying sometimes, but I do like that part of him, and his horrible jokes, and the way he dances, oh, and his singing voice it's just so beautiful and his 10:10 smile always destroys me and..-

Oh god, I was falling for him. No, no, no, no, not him! Like I said, Soonyoung is good, like, really good, but he's my friend..my best friend. What if he doesn't feel the same way? Things will change, and I don't want that to happen between us..

I was still thinking about Soonyoung until..

¨Jihoon!!¨ 

¨Wah- w-what!?¨ 

When I looked at who's voice was coming from I froze for a second.

¨Hey, Ji, you ok??¨ he asked while poking my cheek teasingly.

I snapped out of it and slapped his hand away. ¨Yes! Yes, I am. I was..umm..thinking about the performance-¨

¨Well, yeah about that, as you can see, class is over so I came to pick you up!¨ Soonyoung said smiling and grabbing my hand, dragging me out of class and running towards the cafeteria where the rest of the group was.

When we were all together, Seungcheol was the one to speak up.

¨Ok guys! Now is the moment, our first performance! It may be small, but it still is important and we have to do the best we can, as we trained! Of course, we want to thank Jihoon and Soonyoung for helping as out and also to Dino, cause he had the idea of forming the group. Now, all gather up!¨ He put his fist in front, and after that, the rest did as well, forming a small circle with out fist. ¨Say the name...¨

¨SEVENTEEN!¨ we all shouted out loud, and right after that, Vernon played the song, Jun jumping on a table, looking at the rest of the students smiling.

¨Slip into the diamond life, uh!¨ he started singing-whisper, getting everyone's attention towards us.

As the song continued, we all sang my song and danced Soonyoung's choreo the best we could, and we could see that everyone was enjoying it and dancing along. When we saw that, we all gained more confidence in ourselves and continued singing and dancing and enjoying every step we took.

¨Shining diamonds, yeah! Even after time passes, I won't become weak, We'll keep it up!¨ Seokmin sang his part, the students singing along and clapping.

After singing and dancing and having the time of our life, we stopped, and when we did, everyone started to cheer up and clapping.

I couldn't stop staring at them, seeing them liking and enjoying, seeing them clapping and cheering us. 

I didn't even realize that I was crying, tears of happiness flooding on my cheeks. I snapped out of it again when I felt someone's thumb wiping one of my tear.

¨We did it, Ji..and we did great..¨ he said softly, with a big smile on his face. I looked up at him, and saw that he also had teary eyes, but didn't cry.

I smiled at him, wiping the rest of my tears. ¨Yes..yes we did..¨ I replied him back softly as well, slowly my hand going to his and holding it.

I could see that Soonyoung's cheeks started to get tinted by a soft red. Huh..I made him blush, and he didn't take his hand away, that made me smile even wider.

When the others saw me and Soonyoung holding hands, they smiled widely and started to hold each others hands, Mingyu held my other hand and Dino held Soonyoung's one, until we all were holding hands. 

We all smiled and looked at the 'audience', Seungcheol speaking up.

¨We are Seventeen! Thank you for listening to us!¨ And after saying that, he bowed and the rest of us followed.

I could hear everyone cheering up louder and clapping, shouting stuff like, ¨When is going to be the next performance!?¨, ¨Why Seventeen!?¨, ¨This guy is so cute!¨ and that kind of stuff. 

And then..the bell ringed. Everyone cheered up one more time before leaving the cafeteria and leaving, leaving us alone.

When everyone left, we immediately hugged each other, yelling and laughing. 

¨We were awesome!!¨ Dino screeched excited.

¨Yass!!¨ Seokmin and Seungkwan agreed, cuddling Dino.

We all were proud of ourselves, damn, I was proud of me for once. We did great and they loved us..actually...can't wait for the next performance.
