Some people look for change and betterment of themselves in all the wrong places. Some think they will magically improve themselves because of their future spouse. "Ah, my prayer? It'll get fixed when I get married.","My anger issues will get resolved as soon as I get married to the right person.","Love will heal me." and the list goes on. But for as long as your will to change doesn't come from deep within your heart, you'll never ever change or better yourself. Because look at Fir'aun. He was married to one of the four best women in history, Asiyah, and yet he didn't improve himself at all. He didn't change because he didn't drop his pride and arrogance and he didn't have the will to change. So here you can see that even if you might be around the best people in the world, who are even praised by ALLAH Himself, you won't change or better yourself until you have the will to change.
