Windows seem clean all the time because we can look through them. Only when we swipe a tissue across the transparent glass do we realize how much dirt they've been accumulating all along. And after we clean them, we realize that we can see so much clearer now. But after a few weeks, the windows go back to their dirty state but again, we don't really realize if we don't pay closer attention to it. Because the dirt piles up ever so slowly, giving us all the time we need to get used to it so we won't notice. That is why we need to clean the windows of our heart and souls with Taubah, too. Because we might not realize the dark spots forming in our souls due to all the consciously and subconsciously commited sins. And after every session of Taubah or any other session of worship, we realize that now, we can indeed see so much clearer, feel so much more sincerely and just live a thousand times better than before.
