Chapter 11: Complications and Explanations

Its the next day after mom and dad had given Betsy to me, me and Heroinebrine were already passing through another state. I started to remember the conversation we had before my parents and Heroinebrine's parents told us to go as far away as possible...

~Flashback Engage!~

"Well at least that is out of the way but there is something else that I am questioning." I started, "Why are you giving me Betsy now?"

"Well son." Father started as he took out his tool box from beneath the work table, "It would be the only way to protect the both of you."

"Huh?" I uttered, "Protect us from what exactly?"

"To protect the both of you from the Brine Council." Herobrine answered which got a confused look from me and Heroinebrine.

"Why would they want to come after us?" Heroinebrine asked, "I thought they said we had ten days before they came for me."

Just then, Mr. Ram showed up out of nowhere, "They changed the plans."

"What do you mean they changed the plans?!" I asked getting a bit upset

"Well, after I had finished informed you about the previous plan and returned to the council entrance, I overheard the council discussing about how they changed their minds of allowing ten days and decided to come and get you tomorrow." Mr. Ram explained, "I was astonished that they made this decision and I rushed back here to tell your parents about the situation."

I couldn't believe it... they were going to take Heroinebrine away from me... in just a couple of hours... I felt like punching something until it broke.

"And so, we all discussed with each other and decided we weren't going to let that happen." Janice started which got a confused face from me.

"We decided that their conditions were too unreasonable..." Herobrine added on

"Which is why we aren't going down without a fight." Father continued as he pulled out two pistols from his tool box and handed them to my mother.

"Thats right Lan-pie!" Mother continued with her cheery smile, "We would do anything to make you happy."

As she finished her sentence, she proceeded to fire the pistol in her left hand towards the wall, forcefully sticking her hand into the wall and pulling out a shotgun, which she handed to my father.

"Why do you guys have all of these stuff?!" I asked in a frantic tone.

"Oh Lan-pie, the less you know, the better!" Mother said as she rubbed my right cheek with her pistol.

"I will be watching over the both of you, incase anything happens to anyone of you on your journey." Mr. Ram said

"Wait, is that why you are giving me Betsy?" I started, "Your sending us somewhere to be safe?"

Both my parents and Heroinebrine's parents nodded.

"But I want to stay and fight with you guys!" I said in a stern tone.

Just then, father came closer to me and it seemed that the room got a lot darker all of a sudden.

"What exactly can you do, Lan?" Father asked in a stern tone.

"W-well... I..." I stuttered

"Thats right, you cant fight, not now at least." Father started, "We dont want you to fight right now because you are the only one who can be by Heroinebrine's side, we would try to stop them from getting to you two as best as we can, so thats why we want the both of you to get as far away as possible from here. Do you understand?"

"Y-yeah... I understand." I replied and then I proceeded to look around the room, at all of the people who would go to such lengths to protect me and Heroinebrine.

"Alright you two, its time to go." Mr. Ram said

We all exchanged our goodbyes, with a few sniffles and sobs and made our way on the road. I looked back, before we made it out onto the third block and waved my goodbyes to the people who cared so much for me.

I rethink everything over and over in my head, as I cruise down the road on Betsy, passing the seemingly endless dessert, with Heroinebrine clinging onto my back, I knew my mission, no, my goal was to do everything in my power to stay by this girl's side, even if I fall, I would just get back up and do it again...
