Nico, a teenage boy from Japan stood at the roof of a building. His hair dyed purple and green being held back from his face with a white headband. He was wearing dark and cold colored clothes while his brown haired sister wears warmer but also dark colored clothes. His sister had her sunset wing out and glowing, readying herself to fly. Nico had his wings hidden under a cloak he borrowed from his friend.

"Alright Aki, are you ready?" Nico asks his sister.

"Ready as I'll ever be."

"Good enough."

A flash of light goes on for barely a second in the building they were facing. Unless they were looking for it they wouldn't have spotted it. Nico nods at his sister, telling her to go whenever she's ready.

"Alright, I'm nervous."

Nico looks for something in his pockets. When he finds what he's looking for his hand comes out with a few pieces of corn candy. "Here's some candy."

"Thanks!"

Aki takes a piece of candy, opens the wrapper and eats it. Nico does the same and stores the rest in his pocket. Aki savors the taste of the candy for a few seconds then directs her attention to her wings. Slowly Aki's sunset colored wing set aflame, just enough as to not drag attention. No smoke comes from her wings.

She backs up a few steps and takes a running leap. She dives into the building she was facing like a rocket. Just a few seconds before reaching the ground, she makes a sharp landing and sets a wooden table on fire. A kid who just happens to have water manipulating ability sets of the fire with water from the air.

Slowly Aki lets the fire on her wings slowly grow, making the temperature rise and creating an advantage for herself. Unfortunately, the kid with water abilities is inexperienced, so they don't do well in hot temperatures. The kid shrinks and looks around looking for a place to hide. Pitying the kid, Aki leaves them and heads to the next room, this time more careful not to set anything on fire. She hears water evaporating behind her and something falling as she leaves.

Something yellow and black passes by in a blur in front of Aki. She looks to the left to find several people heading to her direction. She follows where the yellow and black figure started setting of the flame on her wings.

By the time she thought she had lost the people chasing her, the flames on her wings were no longer present as well as the glow. Sadly, she had also lost the black and yellow figure. Something grabs her and carefully pulls her into the door she was leaning on. Instinctively she closed her eyes and tried to scream.

Aki gets her mouth stuffed and feels something soft under her head. She opens her eyes to find she is laying on her friend, the blank and yellow figure's, lap. She blinks and stares at the blonde in black before leaping up and accidently knock him in the face with her wings.

"That hurts. I thought wings were soft, not hard as rock."

"Wings have bones too. Though their hollow."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

They heard some from outside and held their breath. A few seconds after the noise is gone they sigh in relief. Aki's companion holds his finger up to his lips, telling them to be quiet. They stand up slowly at take a look at the room. There was a wooden table with a large bowl of water and a box underneath. The wall opposite to the door where the table lies, was slightly damp. Gallons filled with water are cramped at a corner of the room. The room was quite big, which made it feel empty.
