Spark And Shadow: Let's Switch! Oh! And Bring The Ice Prince As Well!

I looked upon the damage that had been done. People encased in ice were scattered all over the camp. Trails of ice littered the grounds not disappearing anytime soon. Black gas still wandered near the ground aimlessly. The temperature around me had gotten significantly colder.

I heard light footsteps behind me and ice evaporating. A boy with black hair and a scarf with gold accents and a black cloak stood beside me. His posture gave him an intimidating aura. Even after having spent so much time with him bonding, I'm still wary of him.

"Well, you certainly did your part well... Perhaps a bit too well. I did not expect so much damage."

"At least All their attention was all on me."

"Mostly. A few smart ones got suspicious and found us. I must say they put up quite a fight."

I must have looked worried because he reassured me there were no major injuries or deaths.

"Thanks... Al. Should I unfreeze them now?"

"Not yet. Just get rid of the ice and lower the temperature for now. Some of the children are complaining about the cold."

"Alright."

"Thank you."

Al walked away gracefully, like a king. I stood up and started clearing the icy mess I created. I started by clearing the ice that had clung on to the buildings all around the area. I stored some of the ice in a bottle I carried and allowed it to melt. Then I evaporated the rest of the ice into gas.

~*&!^$##@%!*^#@~

After about an hour, I had cleared most of the place. Just as I finished clearing the last bit of ice on some glass, A young blonde entirely in black came up to me.

"Vincent? Can I have something to cool me down?"

He was sweating a bit under all that black clothing.

"Sure... Here's some cold water."

"Thanks."

He took the bottle of water and drank it all in a few gulps. He handed the bottle back to me and smiled. He walked of to continue whatever he was told to do. I went off to look for a lake that I had spotted while distracting everyone. I didn't feel anything but adrenaline while freezing all those people. Maybe it was because I didn't know most of those people. Maybe it was because they aren't called heroes where I come from.

I found the lake with a few pieces of ice floating on the surface. I allowed them to melt so they won't bother the fish in the small lake. I wrapped my fur lined cloak around me and sat under a tree by the lake. I remembered that the Al I know likes to sit under the tree and read when he wants to. I missed my home, and I missed my family, and I missed my friends. But I don't know how to go back to them. I can't go back the way I went; I had already tried that.

I sighed, tired that I couldn't go back and had deal with people I know that were completely different from the ones I was familiar with. It's as confusing as it sounds. I had somehow ended up in a different reality where nearly everyone I know had switched roles. It doesn't sound as confusing when put that way, but it still is for me. I'm confused why any of the people I know would have done things like this. I'm confused why I did this for someone I don't know.

Maybe I was just desperate for something familiar in this harsh and unfair world. Or maybe I was just crazy and couldn't see the difference between Albert and Alex. Even though they are different they do give of similar auras and have more experience than me in many things. They both looked nearly identical except Alex has a scar on his left eye and can still see while Albert is blind on his left eye. They both have the same scarf except for the stones that Alex has dangling at the ends of his. Albert is a lot more elegant and regal while Alex is more casually formal. Something they both had in common is: their odd liking for gifting people with necklaces that has a charm or symbol.
