Richard Kean called in to see his sister Barbara. He was inviting her and her boyfriend, James Gordon, with their daughters to dinner one night. He walked in the front door, after ringing the bell for five minutes.. What he saw made him laugh so hard, he almost cried.. "What happened here?" He asked the two girls.. Samantha and Rachel looked at him and began to giggle.......
Four Hours before..
Jim dragged the Christmas tree into the lounge.. Samantha, five, and Rachel three, following on like little loyal minions.. "We helped Daddy bring the tree in." Samantha said with pride. "I can see that. What a lucky man Daddy is to have helpers like you." Barbara said, smiling at the girls.. They giggled.. "Yes they were a real special treat." Jim said sarcasm dripping from his lips.. "Poor Jim." Barbara said going to him to kiss him.. "Daddy?" Rachel asked.. "Yes Rachel." Jim replied, turning to look at the girl.. "Is the Daddy Santa going to come again this year?" She asked, smiling at him.. You see Jim every year dressed up as Santa for the girls.. The Daddy Santa gave them a gift every year, just before Christmas.. "Of course." Jim said, smiling at the girls.. "We love The Daddy Santa." Barbara said, kissing him again.. "I am so glad he will come, I really like him as much as the real Santa." Rachel said nodding her head.. "I have one problem with The Daddy Santa." Jim said with a smile.. "What is that Daddy?" Samantha asked giggling.. "He never leaves me presents." Jim replied laughing.. "I will go and write to him now.. Ask him to bring one for you and Mummy this year." Rachel said smiling as he rushed off to her room, to write.. Barbara smiled at Jim..
Later after the letter had been finished, and droped on the front table for delivery to Santa.. "Can I have a cookie?" Rachel asked, going into the kitchen to look at them.... They had baked them earlier in the day.. They were all wrapped in pretty paper ready to hang on the tree.. Along with the candy canes.. "Yes, girls you can both have one.." Barbara said, smiling at them.. "Thank you Mummy." Samantha said, taking one with a smile.. "Can I share that drink?" Samantha asked.. Knowing full well that it was Eggnog with Brandy.. "No darling, you have your own special eggnog." Barbara said, smiling at her.. She gotten the girl's bottle of eggnog out of the fridge.. It was placed on the counter with the ice.. Next to the brandy bottle.. Rachel smiled at Samantha.. She then rushed off to get the cups.. The girls all sat with their cookies and eggnog.. Giggling and chatting.. "What are you both waiting for?" Barbara asked them both.. "Nothing Mummy." Samantha said giggling again.. "We love you Mummy.." Rachel said with a giggle..
"Ho ho ho, are there some girls here that want to decorate a Christmas tree?" Jim called after he had brought in the huge box of Christmas decorations.... "Yes. Yeah Daddy!" The girls called as they danced around him giggling.. "What about you Barbara, would you like to help us decorate the tree?" Jim asked, going to her for a smooch.. "Well I think I would like that." Barbara said smiling.. "Come on Mummy and Daddy!" Rachel said giggling again, as she rushed over to the tree.. "I guess that's our cue." Jim said going over to the girls.. As Barbara turned on the Christmas Carols.. The giggles started and the fun began..
