Jeongguk squinted his eyes, before slowly blinking them open to light. He could hear the distant chirping of birds, but once he looked to his side he felt like the birds were chirping inside his chest.
There lay Taehyung, head cradled on Jeongguk's bicep and a leg thrown over his torso. Taehyung's hand had somehow sneaked in through Jeongguk's shirt resting on his pec. Jeongguk raised an eyebrow playfully.
However, Jeongguk could barely ignore the giddiness. Taehyung looked so beautiful, straight out of a painting of paradise, ethereal, almost unreal. Almost, because Taehyung was very real, pressed up against him like a baby panda. And that was what made it a thousand times better for Jeongguk.
Jeongguk raised his free hand, carefully cupping Taehyung's cheek which looked like a rose in full bloom. He gently traced the dried track of saliva up to his jaw.
He sighed heavily. God, he loved Taehyung so much.
The older suddenly frowned, whining a little in his sleep before he flickered his eyes open, which landed straight on Jeongguk. Jeongguk's breath hitched at the silent stare.
"Tae?"
Taehyung giggled at his groggy voice, burying his face into Jeongguk' side and rubbing his leg against the other's.
"Good Morning, Jeonggukie." Taehyung whispered, and his voice came out muffled.
"Morning." Jeongguk smiled lazily, before a yawn escaped his lips and he watched Taehyung roll away, before stretching himself. His arm felt numb, but he was happy.
Taehyung rubbed his left eye with his fist, before dropping his hand on the floor and blinking his droopy eyes.
"Did you sleep well?" Jeongguk rasped, running his hand softly on the small of Taehyung's back. Taehyung bit his lip, looking away from him, before lying back down against Jeongguk and resting his head on Jeongguk's chest.
'Oh God, this feels so different.' Taehyung thought.
"I did." Taehyung thankfully did not stutter, "Did you?"
The younger chuckled looking down at him, "How could I not?"
Taehyung did not sign up for this. He was not ready to blush the whole day. Wouldn't his cheeks burn? Ow, it would hurt.
"Shut up." He hit Jeongguk's chest lightly. "Why? What did I even say?" The younger shrugged, playing innocent after flirting quite confidently.
Taehyung looked up at him blankly, "Oh, I know that you know what you did." He pouted when the other laughed and turned his back to him, as he shut his eyes close.
His heart did that 'ba-dum' thing again, when he heard Jeongguk chuckling, close to his ear and his arms wrapping around his tummy, as he felt his chest pressing up against his back.
"You're so cute."
Taehyung's cheeks turned pink again, and his eyes snapped open quicker than the speed of sound.
'What the fuck is up with him?'
Taehyung did not remember Jeongguk complimenting him so directly before. Now every gentle thing Jeongguk would say or do to him, he would not be able to take it casually. Was it because of the kiss?
Before he knew it, his hand flew up to his mouth and his finger tips gently traced his own lips, feeling the tingles shooting up at the fresh feeling of Jeongguk's lips against his own, from the night prior.
He smiled bashfully, before hiding his face behind his palms, as Jeongguk spooned him and buried his face in his neck.
"Tae?" Jeongguk inhaled sharply.
