28. Jealousy

3rd Person POV
The Outcast are chilling in the living room before Eiji speaks up. " Izu Kat can we ask you guys something?" he asks. "Sure what is it?" Izuku responds. "Well you know how we always mess around in the recoding studio?" Touka asks "Yea what about it" Katsuki responds. "Well we were thinking about starting a band, but none of us have good enough vocals to be a lead singer, so we were wondering if you knew someone who could fill the spot." Daichi says. Izuku and Katsuki look at eachother and smirk. "Webe got the perfect person."

Jiro's POV
After getting my quirk all the kids my age made me an outcast. I didn't bother them and they didn't bother me. There was occasional teasing and sometimes the pulled my earlobes. I never really understood why I got treated like that, but I never really cared.

The only thing that made me happy at the time was music. My parents owns a music store so I was always surrounded by instruments. I also learned how to play guitar and piano. I never really wanted to make music but that all changed when I heard 'them.'

One day after school I was browsing through youtube looking for music and saw this song that was going viral. I listened to it and got immediately attached. You can kind of hear the pain in their voices when they sing. It's like they were going through rough times but expressed themselves through music. After hearing that song I decided that I also wanted to be a singer.

Their songs are usually depressing but ever since I've gotten to UA they have been a little happier. Maybe they found something that made them genuinely happy. I wonder if anyone else in class listens to them.

Izuku's POV
Class was boring today especially since we already know all the stuff they are teaching.
"Hey guys I have a question." Jiro asks the class. "What is it Jiro?" Momo replied. "Well I was wondering if you guys listened to The  Betrayed?" she asked. I wonder why she's asking that. It's not like we plan to do any live concerts. " Yea they're so manly. I listened to them a lot during middle school!" Kirishima exclaims. " OMG I LOVE THEM!" Mina squeals. I heard many people talking about how good Kat and I were. Kat turns around and gives me a small smile. I guess he's happy too.

"Jiro!" I yelled to stop all the conversation in the class. "What is it Izuku?" she replied. "Well you know how we talked about Kat and I group of friends outside of school right?" Izuku said. "Yea what about them?" she responds. "Well they want to do something and you are the perfect person for it. Plus we were going to introduce you to them this weekend, but today is the perfect time." Izuku says with a beaming smile. "Why do you think I'm perfect for what they need?" she asks with a confused look. "Trust me. You are the perfect person for this and plus this will probably change your life for the better." Katsuki cuts in. " Can you at least tell me what it is?" she asks. "Naw it's gonna be a surprise." Katsuki says with a smirk. "You are coming with us to pick them up from school and then we are going to our house after. Don't worry it won't take long since Kat and I can teleport you with us." Izuku says. " Umm ok then. We can go right after school I guess." Jiro says before the class starts erupting into jealous chatter.

"How come she gets to meet your friends." Kirishima says with a hint of jealousy. "Because she's cool, chill, and our friends need someone like her for the thing that they want to do." Katsuki replies. "Okay but we're are still your squad. We should be able to meet your other friends." Mina says. "Remember I told y'all I didn't want any friends at UA. It's gonna take a while for me to actually trust you and consider you guys as friends." he replied with an annoyed tone. "Wow man that's not cool." Kaminari said sadly. "I'm just saying it how it is Dunce face. You should be happy enough that we I sit at the same lunch table with you guys let alone reply to your questions." Katsuki says with a cold tone.

"Izuku how come we don't get to meet your friends." Iida asks. "Um well kind of the same reason as Kat's. We both have extreme trust issues, so unless we click with you from the start then it's gonna take a while for us to actually trust you." Izuku replies nervously. " Why can you trust Jiro, but not us?" Uraraka says with jealously. "Sorry Uraraka but it is what it is. Sooner or later Kat and I will be able to fully trust you guys but it'll take time. I hope you guys can understand." Izuku says with a small smile. The Izusquad and the Katsusquad both look at eachother then back to Izuku and then nods. "Jiro let's go we're leaving." Katsuki says to her. "Alright I'm ready." she replies with a smile. Katsuki puts his hand on Jiro's shoulder while holding onto Izuku. In a blink of an eye they were gone from the classroom.

"Wow it's kind of cool that they can teleport like that." Kirishima says. " Yea yea whatever. I don't know why my brother acts all high and mighty." Katsumi spat. "I wonder what happened to them that made them se closed off." Mina says sadly. "It's fine sooner or later Izubro or Katsubro are going to trust us." Kaminari says. "Yea you guys are right. Let's just continue what we are doing and gain thier trust." Momo said happily.

All the squads go their separate ways. Even though they said that they were going to be their friends. There is still quite amount of jealous in their hearts.
