Chapter 7

The sun was high that noon and (Y/N) was at the rose garden tending the flowers when her grandmother summoned her. Her grandmother looked frazzled so she worry if she's alright. Beatrice sigh and assured her that she is fine.

Beatrice told her that her fiance came this morning furious about what he saw in the party. (Y/N)'s face look tense, she never heard of his return. Beatrice sigh and calmed her down for she did not call her to reprimand her but to tell her that she had cancelled the engagement between them. (Y/N)'s eyes widened in surprise.

She rose a brow and asked (Y/N) to wipe the grin off her face. (Y/N) held her cheeks in embarrassment, she wasn't aware that her emotions were showing on her face. Beatrice leaned back on her chair and sigh "That sniveling weasel thinks he could get a jump on me by flaunting his riches, he doesn't deserve my beautiful granddaughter" She snorted making her giggle. "Although I am curious who this man you had smeared your lips on" Beatrice tease her making her cheeks flush remembering their tryst. Her grandmother then warned "he should better be not an uncultured swine like your father". (Y/N) refute so Beatrice a hand as an apologize and said that her father is now a change man.

As the 2 shared a hearty laugh when suddenly the door flung open and Elias hurriedly strode in. "I'm sorry for the intrusion M'lady but we must leave at once". The 2 gave him a quizzical look. Elias reported about the situation outside. (Y/N)'s face pallid in horror, immediately her grandmother gave Elias orders and grabs (Y/N)'s hand as they move out of the room.

Outside the servants were frantically running everywhere carrying boxes here and there. At a few distance away the town was covered in thick fog and a silhouette of a giant beast appeared. It's shriek was deafening and horrifying. Elias lead them to a safe way towards the shelter but amidst the confusion and people pushing, (Y/N) got separated from them.

(Y/N)'s heart was beating so fast her body shuddered in fear. People were jostling in panic not sure where to go she was afraid that she'll be ran by them so she stood next to a wall. The beasts shriek again and she crouch in trepidation. Soon a rumble was felt causing more fear on the people. Finally the magic knights came to their rescue and manage to direct the people to a safe place.

(Y/N) wanted to stand from her position but her knees were shacking in fear so much she can't move. She prayed for Magna to come and rescue her.

The magic knights leaps to subjugate the beast which was a large serpent. Suddenly sprung out of nowhere pirates and magicians in dark cloak attacked them. The black bulls were also part of the group who answered the emergency. Magna was worried for (Y/N) so he asked for his captains permission. Yami smirked and let's him go to his girlfriend. Once he reaches the estate (Y/N) was no longer there.

The beast continued to go berserk and the magic knights parry the perpetrators.

Amidst the chaos Augustus who was the mastermind of the whole plot walks into the guardless castle with a malevolent grin. He soon met the magic emperor standing before a certain door leading beneath the castle.

Meanwhile, Magna continues his search for (Y/N) and knock out some hooligans along the way. Suddenly he heard her scream. He peered through the fog and saw her being drag by her fiancé.

(Y/N) was wincing in pain as she tries to pull away from him. Her fiancé was furious when Beatrice broke the engagement and learned about the truth. He cursed under his breath "I should have killed that old woman when I had the chance" her face looked pallid at his statement "were you part of this?" (Y/N) nervously asked.

He smirked at her obliviousness. He was colluding with Augustus who promise him land and power in exchange of an information which Lady Beatrice and the members of her family only knows. Levius went against him so he killed them both. "Augustus is a madman but the price he offered was heavy to ignore so he came to Lady Beatrice for a proposal, you were just a bonus". He mischievously grinned at her and continued to pull her forward.

"Since the plan is in motion I have no reason to stay in clover kingdom. You'll be coming with me to our new land, my wife" (Y/N) refuse and kicked his crotch so hard like what Magna thought him as soon as he let go she ran away. He chased after hear and grabs her by the hair cursing under his breath. (Y/N) screamed in pain when suddenly his hold loosened.

She watch in confusion when his body flung away and a man standing next to her. Magna glowered at her fiancé "(Y/N) is not coming with you" Magna hissed and cursed at the man lying on the ground with broken jaw. He stood up and gathered mana to cast a powerful spell when suddenly the giant snakes tail slams over him, killing him.

Magna and (Y/N) gasped in horror. The fog slightly dissipates revealing the large serpent staring at them with blood shot eyes. They were petrified from its sharp gaze like piercing their souls. It draw its head back bracing for an attack, Magna's body moved by instinct and immediately carried (Y/N) away from the building. The serpent soon attack with it's snout hitting the building that they stood, crumbling it into pieces.

He cursed under his breath as he hid inside the building still carrying her on his arms. Magna placed her down and asked her to step away while he takes care of the beast. (Y/N)'s brows furrowed in fear so he flicks her forehead and assured her that he'll come back victorious. (Y/N) shook her head, she doesn't need him to be victorious but wishes him to return back to her no matter what. Magna grinned and promise that he will. He leaps out the building with pride.
