a/n A while back I had to write a fairytale for my class and so I figured I could share it here. I wanted to post something because I didn't get to write a chapter. I'm really sorry about being inconsistent!

Once upon a time, in two kingdoms not near nor far but merely existing. The kingdoms of Kahlo and Gantrick were very wealthy with the highest tech that money could buy. While many of the occupants were human or at least mostly human, there was a selection of witches that also lived among them.

Most were kind and used their magick for healing, but there was a small number of villainous witches that gave the Kingdom Gantrick an awful impression. They decided that even though only a minuscule amount of the witches were evil, they hated all witches, wishing that they were hunted until all of the witch kind were dead.

In the Gantrick kingdom there lived a king and a queen, they were unable to have children but had an heir chosen for once the king died. The king was an older gentleman with white-grey hair, his name being Eldric. His wife's name was Catherine and her hair was dyed dark to make her have the air of a young adult.

The other kingdom, Kahlo, was the opposite, they advocated for the witches being that one king was a witch himself. The king witch's name is Darryl, he was substantially younger and had light brown hair with small dark horns protruding from his head. His, also young, husband's name was Zak, he has dark hair and is known all throughout the kingdom for his completely blue diamond crown. They also had an adopted daughter who was being taught witchery, her name was Lucy and she had curled mid-length white hair.

The two kingdoms had decided to meet in order to discuss the continuation of their allyship. The last time the two kingdoms had spoken together was nearly forty years ago, Zak's father still young on the throne. The kings, queen, princess, and the heir all gathered in the Gantrick castle's dining area. Everything seemed to be going well.

"You look so young, Queen Cathrine." King Zak complemented.

"Thank you." the queen replied, smiling back brightly. The other two kings shook hands in greeting, King Darryl not ignoring the disgusted glint in King Eldric's eyes. The heir and Princess Lucy also greeted with a short hug.

Everyone sat down at the long spruce dining table and they began to chat amongst themselves. The topics that were shared, everyone seemed to agree with, even young Princess Lucy who was almost never interested in the conversations that the adults had. That was until a remark about witches eventually rolled around.

The Gantrick king and queen immediately on the offensive, listing every single slightly significant offense that a witch performed. His Majesty was getting heated, his face red and his mouth moving a mile a minute. The Kahlo kings and the princess sat silently listening, both Darryl and Lucy looking slightly annoyed while Zak was shaking, trying not to punch King Eldric in his ancient-looking face.

King Darryl tried to stand his ground, waiting for his chance to speak a rebuttal. Every time that he tried to open his mouth, he was shut down by King Eldric restarting his rant.

The kings and princess left without a goodbye, the allyship not being renewed.

The king and queen were extremely bitter about their lost allyship and failure to change Kahlo royal family's minds on witches. As a first attempt to have the Kahlo kings reconsider the alliance, King Eldric decided to send troops to attack the kingdom. The throne responded with mercy toward the soldiers, only attacking in dire need of self-defense. Any soldier on either side was treated by witches for any wounds that occurred. The Kahlo Kingdom had every right to attack the Gantrick soldiers but didn't, to show that the royal family and the rest of the kingdom meant entirely well. King Darryl sent a brief letter to the king and queen explaining;

"Violence would not be tolerated and that it would not be the answer to change their minds."

The Gantrick king and queen became so enraged that they ordered someone to poison King Zak's food and blame it on one of the witches who worked in the Kahlo castle's kitchen. Everything was going according to plan, the spy got in no problem and one of the witches was working in the kitchen that evening. The family sat down for dinner, they ate and spoke about their day for about five minutes until King Zak fell from his chair suddenly. King Darryl used magick to find that he had indeed been poisoned and he knew exactly by who. So, Darryl and several other healing witches used their magick to take out all the poison in Zak's frail, shaking body. The spy was quickly found out using a lie detector, he was taken back to the Gantrick kingdom by two of Kahlo's soldiers.

"I'm sorry!" the spy cried, sincerity missing from his voice. This event was cause for much concern among the kings, the princess, and the castle's staff. Many citizens and staff of the Kahlo kingdom were furious with the neighboring throne. One of the younger staff members had access to dangerous technologies that the military had been developing. He had decided that it would be best to assassinate the Gantrick king in order for there to be peace among the two kingdoms. During a stormy night, the staff member shot the king with the mysterious new military weapon. The shot woke up Catherine, she ran down the halls calling for a medic.

"Please! Please, help my husband! Someone get the medic!" her voice echoing down the nearly empty halls of the castle. The doctors arrived but nothing could be done to dislodge the bullet, the doctors sadly suggested asking the witches for help. Catherine was only concerned about her husband's life, so she agreed to have some witches spare her partner.

The king woke up in the evening the next day. He later found out he had been saved by some witches. At first, the man was furious, but then he was thankful. He had been so rude to every witch, yet they had agreed to save him.

As soon as he could, he set up a meeting with the neighboring kingdom to apologize and ask for an allyship once more. The kings of the Kahlo throne agreed to the meet-up, thankful that the king and queen had finally come to their senses.

Although the kings didn't entirely forgive them for the attempted poisoning of Zak, they put their differences aside and accepted the king and queen's apology. The heir of the Gantrick kingdom and Princess Lucy ended up getting married and the two kingdoms combined for the ultimate powerhouse. From then on, the combined kingdoms lived in peace except for a few skirmishes here and there.
