Talia's POV
I woke up to my phone singing.
"Caroline?" I asked as I pressed answer sleepily."TODAY IS THE DAY!"
"The day of what? Huh?" I asked again, feeling around my nightstand for my glasses.
"Look at the date..." She said slowly. Once I got my glasses on I scrolled down on my phone, bringing up the notifications screen.
"April 10th?" I said confused.
"We're getting out of school early today to FLY TO NASHVILLE TO SEE SHAWN TOMORROW." She practically screamed.
"HOW COULD I FORGET." I said into the phone, surprised that I could forget such an important day. Tomorrow night determines whether or not I'll be going on tour with Shawn in May. As long as he likes me, I'm good.
You could say I'm a little nervous.
Hopefully I can make it through the school day without totally psyching myself out. The flight to Tennessee will be a long one. It's only 3 hours but still, that's long for me. I was terrified of planes until I was 10 but then I realized the odds of me getting hurt were slim.
Caroline and I arrived at school normal time and dragged ourselves through 2 periods before it was lunch time.
"Finally." I breathed as I walked out of my Biology class. Caroline and Olivia stood a few feet down the hall, waiting for me.
"Oh my god," Olivia said when I caught up to them, "you two are so lucky, being able to go see Shawn in Nashville. My parents would never let me go."
"Well my mom didn't think we could at first. She thought it wasn't a good date and was too far. Then she called up one of her friends from college who lives in downtown Nashville and asked if we could meet up with her. She agreed. Anyway, Chase and my dad need to stay home for a baseball tournament." I said.
"Still, you're so lucky you got an access pass." She said as she broke off from us and got in line for her lunch. Caroline and I pack ours everyday.
"Little does she know what else you won." Caroline said as she nudged me.
"Stop," I said jokingly, "I'm not going to tell her until I know for sure I am."
"It's probably the best thing to do- to keep it from her. She'll go talking about it to everyone. I love that girl to death but she can't keep a secret to save her life." Caroline said as she sat down across the table from me.
We both greeted the rest of the girls at our table before we started eating. Everyday we always trade because our moms usually pack the same general thing everyday. Olivia arrives from the lunch line soon after we finish exchanging snacks.
"I can't wait until I can drive and actually go off campus for some decent food." She groaned.
"You know, you could pack your own lunch." Caroline said bluntly.
"Too much work."
We all laughed, knowing how lazy Olivia can get.
The last two periods of the day went by slowly and I actually almost fell asleep in English. At least Caroline and I got out 30 minutes early. I have 'a doctors appointment' and Caro has 'physical therapy for her shoulder'.
I reached my car and threw my backpack in the back, sighing heavily.
"Oh perk up you," Caroline said as she opened her door, "remember there's less than 24 hours until we meet the legend himself."
I smiled to her, knowing she was right. It's Friday and I'm meeting Shawn in Nashville tomorrow. I should be overjoyed.
After I dropped Caroline at her house, I drove home and wasn't even in the door before my phone rang.
"Caroline?" I asked annoyingly as I struggled to unlock my front door with one hand.
"We need to consult on outfits man, we both need to make a good impression. Especially you Miss Contest Winner." She said.
"Oh alright, but I'm not even in my house yet!"
"Just hurry up! And change the call to FaceTime, I want you to see this outfit."
I changed the call over to FaceTime and saw her wearing a dark red vneck shirt, a light big lace sweater , denim shorts and gray Toms.
"Super cute!" I said as I stood before my closet. I practically had to sprint up the stairs earlier. I grabbed a few things and put them on before showing Caroline. I was wearing a dark grey scoop neck shirt, flow-y tribal patterned dark blue shorts, and white vans.
"Picture perfect." She said with a smile.
"Are you sure?" I asked, "I don't look slutty or give a bad impression?"
"No," she said laughing, "you look perfectly normal and those shorts look amazing on you.
"Thanks Caro. Well I have to go pack and take a nap so I'll see you in the morning, bright and early at 6 am."
"Okay, but make sure you have everything!"
"I will, bye!"

Shawn's POV
I'm meeting her tomorrow I thought to myself as I lay in bed, wide awake.
Andrew told me not to worry but I can't help it. I feel like this girl could be amazing and super fun to be with, but it could also be a disaster. She could dress like a slut and be all rude.
The rude part most likely won't happen but still. Most of the girls who come and meet me need some more clothes.
But the real reason really behind most of my stress is the album release in less than 4 days.
Yet Talia still is on my mind.
