Talia's POV

"Flight 287 to Nashville now boarding." A lady said over the intercom. My mom, Caroline and I stood up, grabbing our carry on bags. We're only staying for two days, so there was no need to check a bag.

We walked to the front desk, handing the announcer lady our tickets. She scanned them before handing them back and saying, "Have a great flight!", in a noticeably fake voice. I smiled slightly at her, trying to be polite.

We walked down a small hallway before stepping into the plane. I claimed the window seat, with Caroline in the middle and my mom on the outside. I talked to Caroline for a few minutes while electronics were still not allowed.

"We are now at a cruising altitude. Electronic devices are permitted."

I put in my earbuds just like Caro and put my head against the window. Hopefully I can get some sleep in since I had such an early morning. I put 'A Little Too Much' on repeat as my eyes began to close.

-

"Tal. Talia. Hey wake up, we're here." My mom said as she shook my arm. I opened my eyes groggily and squinted at the bright light.

"Okay I'm up." I groaned as I got down my carry on bag from above me. Caroline was in front of me as we got off, perky as ever.

"I'm so excited!" She squealed. Post-nap time is not a time for squealing.

After about 15 minutes of walking through the airport, we made it into a cab. My mom gave the driver her friend's address and we were off. I was about 80% awake now. Still a bit grumpy.

We arrived at a small townhouse with a nicely manicured lawn and a blue door.

"Here we are!" My mom said, "I bet Lara will be very happy to meet you."

We walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. Within seconds, a short brunette with green eyes appeared at the window. She quickly opened the door and a huge smile spread across her face.

"Kayla! It's so nice to see you after all these years! Oh is this Miss Talia?" She said, hugging my mom before turning to me. "Oh, she has your eyes." She said sweetly, admiring my resemblance to her old friend.

"Nice to meet you. This is my friend Caroline!" I said as Caro stepped out from behind me.

"Nice to meet you too!" Lara said. "Oh please, come in, come in! You're just in time for some late breakfast."

Upon entering the house, my nostrils were filled with the warm scent of blueberry muffins. I walked into the kitchen to find a fresh batch sitting on the counter with a pot of coffee almost finished brewing.

"It smells amazing in here!" I commented.

We all sat down at her kitchen table, casually making small talk about anything and everything. After finishing our little meal, Caroline and I excused ourselves from the table. I figured Lara and my mom needed some catching up time without teenage girls in the room.

We raced up the stairs and into the guest room which Caroline and I were sharing.

"What time does the concert start?" She asked.

"Seven."

"What time is it now?"

"Noon."

"Do we want to go get in line around 4 maybe? I know we have VIP but it'll be nice to make friends with some girls."

"That sounds like a good plan. I agree."

-

At 2:30 I decided to start getting ready. Caroline was determined to curl her hair and has been for the past half hour. I decided I wanted to keep my hair naturally straight like usual. I want to be as real as possible for Shawn so he likes me.

I took out the gray scoop neck shirt and the patterned blue shorts and slipped them on. I chose a pair of low cut socks and put on my white vans, tying them tightly.

Caroline was still in the bathroom, so I lied down on the bed and got on Twitter. Shawn was actually pretty active this morning.

"@ShawnMendes: super excited for the show tonight! Also remember to tweet #HandwrittenAlbumRelease for Tuesday!"

I favorited and retweeted the tweet before going on some other social media apps. After about 20 minutes, Caroline came out of the bathroom, smelling a lot like hairspray.

"My God, you're finally done." I breathed.

She just rolled her eyes and went over to her bag to get out her outfit for the night.

I entered the bathroom and pulled out my cosmetics bag. I washed my face before applying a coat of mascara on my lashes and some Chapstick on my lips. Short and sweet. I combed out my hair and applied deodorant and a light perfume.

I took one last look at myself in the mirror. Well this is as good as it's gonna get. I thought to myself.

When I came out of the bathroom, Caroline was dressed and ruffling her hair in the mirror.

"Okay Miss Poodle, you look good. You'll mess up the curls if you keep doing that." I said to her as I put my cosmetics bag away.

"Sorry I just want to look good for him."

"You already do, stop stressing. He'll love you no matter your appearance."

She smiled. "Thanks Tal."

Lara decided it would be best if she drove us since she knows her way around the city. They were planning on going out for dinner so my mom was in the front seat. Caroline and I sat in the back, barely able to contain our excitement.

After 20 minutes or so of driving, Lara pulled up in front of the venue- Ryman Auditorium. There were about 20-50 girls already waiting outside. Lara pulled up to the curb and we both got out.

"Okay girls, be safe tonight and have fun. We'll drop off some food in about an hour. Text me if you need anything, love you." My mom yelled out the door.

"Don't worry, we will. Love you too!" I responded.

Caroline ran up to the line, jumping awkwardly over the barrier. A couple of girls in front of her laughed nicely. I just shook my head as I walked over and swiftly cleared the barrier.

This should be an interesting night.

Woah you guys got me almost 450 reads since I posted the last chapter. That is amazing.

YOUR COMMENTS ARE THE BEST YOU GUYS GENUINELY ENJOY MY STORY AND I LOVE YOU FOR IT.

I never thought I was a good writer and that the story line is a little jumbled but you guys make me feel a lot better.

Have you guys listened to 'Kid in Love'?

That song is the bomb.com. It's so catchy and the little rap sounding part reminds me so much of Ed Sheeran.

It's amazing how far our little secret has gone.

When I was writing this he was tweeting about his livestream for Handwritten. Also that Gold Access Pass seems kinda like my idea for this story but way more low key.

I can't wait for what's to come.

Keep voting and commenting!
Love you all.
