Talia's POV"Yes mom, I'm fine." I spoke into the phone with a groan.
"I miss you too. Don't worry about me, I'll be back before you know it," I assured her, "As they say, time flies when you're having fun."
My mom had decided that she missed me already even though I've only been gone a couple days.
"Has your soccer coach been texting you?"
"Yeah but I've been trying to just ignore them because I kinda forgot to tell him I was leaving and would be missing conditioning for a while."
My mom groaned, "You should've told him."
"I know, I know. Listen, I have to go but I love you!"
"I love you too sweetie!"
We said our goodbyes as Shawn walked into the front of the bus, laptop in hand.
He seemed to notice the papers scattered around me on the floor and my laptop on my lap because his eyes went wide.
"You working on homework too?" He asked as he plopped down on the couch I was leaning against.
I looked up him with a small smile as he settled into the couch behind me. "Sadly yes, I decided to try and get ahead. I'm taking online Economics and it sucks."
"Well at least you're not doing all your classes at one time. I take school year-round now so it softens the work load while I'm touring."
"Oh the struggle of being a famous teenager." I teased with a sly smile.
Shawn bent over and pushed my shoulder, "Very funny."
"Ouch that hurt!" I complained like a spoiled little girl. I couldn't keep a straight face though.
Shawn jut shook his head and started laughing at me.

We worked for about an hour, each of us getting our own work done. There was little conversation but I had Jack Johnson, the Hawaiian singer, playing in the background.
I put my laptop to the side of me and fell over with a groan.
"I'm tired of this." I complained.
Shawn closed his laptop before sliding off the couch and onto the floor too.
"Me too." He said, our faces just a couple of inches apart.
I tried to read his expression but all I saw was just a smiling goof staring back at me. Hm.
"Hey Shawn listen we need to...." Andrew said as he opened the bus door and came up the steps, nearly stepping on the two long-legged teenagers laying on the floor.
"Oh um am I interrupting anything?" He said awkwardly, shifting his glasses even though they were level on his nose.
"No not at all." Shawn said as his checks went slightly rosy.
God he's so adorable when he blushes, I thought to myself.
He got up quite quickly and outstretched his hand to help me up. I took it with a smile.
"So, Andrew. What did you need to tell me?" Shawn asked as he brushed the non-existent dust from his black jeans.
"Well you have to promise no tweeting about it yet." He said, looking at me more than Shawn.
I nodded assuringly with a sigh.
"Tomorrow we have a board meeting on the idea for your 'Stitches' music video. Oh and the meeting with Disney next week." He said, scrolling through his phone.
"Okay, sweet. Can Talia come and sit in on the meeting?" He asked.
Andrew looked at Shawn, eyebrows raised. "I'll talk to Island I guess." He said with a sigh.
Shawn looked at me with a smile, his eyes gleaming with excitement. This kid is so passionate about what he does.
"Alright, relax today because your tour with Taylor Swift starts in 4 days!" Andrew said as he left the bus, pulling the door closed.
"Wow," I said, sitting down at the booth in the kitchen, "it's so amazing you get to do all of this at such a young age."
"Yeah it's a lot." Shawn said with a small smile.
My bright smile faded and a feeling of concern found its way into my stomach. He sat down in front of me and looked down at his hands, avoiding my gaze.
I placed my hand on his to calm his restlessness. He looked up at me with those chocolate brown eyes that could make any girl melt.
"Is it... too much?" I asked, keeping my eyes on his and my heartbeat steady.
He remained silent, maybe getting lost in my eyes or lost in though. After a few seconds he turned to look out the bus window and sighed.
"Yes and no. Sometimes it feels like the world is crashing down on me and I can't breathe. Everyone is judging me and everyone back home is expecting me to do great things." He said quickly, his voice cracking slightly at the end.
"You're an amazing person Shawn, one of the nicest people I've ever met. You're good to your family, friends, and fans. What more could you ask for?" I asked, trying to steer him to think positive.
"It's just so much pressure to do great things and I have to plaster a smile on my face some days. I've smiled so much, that I can't tell the difference between a fake one and a real one." His eyes had started to water.
"I can tell the difference," I said, lifting his chin so he'd look at me, "your real smile makes deeper lines in your face and your eyes dance with joy and excitement."
His tears were threatening to spill over and I'm pretty sure mine were too.
"You'll do great things no matter what and the only person you need to satisfy, is you. We'll all love you just the same."
With that last statement, a single tear streamed down the famous, happy 16-year-old boy who maybe wasn't always happy.
I got up quietly and reached out my hand to get him to stand up from the table. He look my hand and I engulfed him in a hug.
His large shoulders almost completely surrounded my medium sized frame. I rubbed his back soothingly and every couple seconds I could hear a small sniffle.
A minute or two later, he pulled away, tears still sitting on his cheeks and smiled.
He pulled me in again. "Thank you so much for listening, no one ever does."

I'm so sorry x100000000
And I'm sorry even more for making this chapter sad and kinda short.
I had writers block and felt like the characters needed an emotional moment to build a better story and relationship.
Did I make anyone cry? I was tearing up a bit while writing it.
