Talia's POV

"Shawn, Talia! Wake up!"

I opened my eyes groggily to find a slightly angry and annoyed Andrew standing in front of me. I felt something warm move beside me.

I had fallen asleep on Shawn and his guitar had been tossed aimlessly on the floor. His long legs were stretched along the couch and his head was tucked into my stomach. I was in the fetal position, facing Shawn with my head resting on his lower chest.

I sat up straight and moved to the other end of the couch like a gunshot.

I was embarrassed.

Shawn was too. Once he had woken up and realized, his face turned a rosy shade of pink.

"Up and at 'em Shawn. Another show tonight."

Shawn nodded sleepily to Andrew then smiled sheepishly at me.

Shit just got awkward.

-

After we both got ready and were showered, we sat down at a little table toward the front of the bus.

Shawn pulled out his favorite Canadian cereal, which I've never had, and we ate in silence.

I think we were both more embarrassed about falling asleep on each other than we should be.

Finally, Shawn broke the silence.

"Ever had this cereal?" He mumbled, clearly tired.

"Actually no. I must say that it's probably better than the super sugary 'healthy' cereals my mom always buys." I said with a laugh.

All of a sudden we both looked up from our bowls. We made eye contact then burst out laughing.

"Are we seriously discussing cereal?" He said between laughs.

"I don't even know." I managed to get out in the midst of my laughing fit.

Once we calmed down and cleaned up the table, there was a knock at the door.

"That's the signal it's time for the meet and greet. You coming?" He asked, extending his hand back at me.

The butterflies were going crazy as I took his hand and he opened the bus door.

We were instantly greeted by the sound of screaming fans and a wall of iPhones. The fans were being held back by security and must've been waiting in line and then swarmed us once the door opened.

I kept my head down as Shawn led me through the crowd, him smiling for a picture or two and waving to the fans.

I tried to stay focused on Shawn's warm hand and gentle guidance, but I couldn't help but overhear the comments being shouted guiltlessly into the air.

"Who the hell is she?"

"Stop holding hands, he's mine!"

"Wow she's uglier in person."

"I can't believe Shawn picked her over me!"

There were smiles on some fans' faces but others went sour as soon as Shawn passed them.

We finally made it inside after what felt like an eternity.

Shawn and I were led into the meet and greet room and I sat against the wall, not eager for more nasty comments.

The girls were let in, squealing at the sight of their idol. Weird to think I was in their shoes a couple weeks ago.

I watched for a few minutes, smiling at the cute poses and furrowing my eyebrows at the unusual, and inappropriate, ones.

The meet and greet was almost over when a young girl came up to me. She didn't look a day over 10.

"Are you Talia? My sister said you won a contest and get to spend time with Shawn." She said sweetly.

"Yes I am," I said smiling, "your sister is correct."

"Can I get a picture with you?" She asked quietly.

"Of course."

Moments later a woman walked over who looked very similar to the dark haired girl.

"You want a picture with her, yes?" The woman, I'm assuming her mother, asked.

The girl nodded and wrapped her arms around my hips. She seemed very short for her age, but it made her even cuter.

"Thank you so much! Also, can you give this to Shawn? I made it for him. I was too nervous to give it to him myself earlier." She said, holding out a bracelet with blue, green, and yellow beads. In the middle were black letters on white beads that spelled out SHAWN.

"I will see that he gets it. What is your name?" I asked, taking the bracelet and holding it tightly.

"Paige."

"Well Miss Paige, you enjoy the concert!"

"I will!" She said, taking her mother's hand and bounding out of the room, a smile plastered on her face.

I realized the room was empty except for a few crew members. I turned to see if Shawn was still there and we practically ran into each other.

"Sorry." I muttered.

"Don't worry about it." He replied, placing his hand on my shoulder to stabilize me.

Calm down Talia, no need for the butterflies again for the 50th time this morning.

"I have something for you," I said, holding the bracelet out in my hand, "a girl named Paige, who was about 10, made it for you. She was too nervous to give it to you herself. She asked for a picture with me."

Shawn smiled and slipped on the handmade bracelet with the others on his wrist. He ran his long fingers across his name spelled out in the beads.

"She did an amazing job." He said looking up with a smile.

"Such a sweet girl."

There was a cough and then I noticed Geoff and a crew member motioning to Shawn at the door.

"Time for the sound check, you coming?" He asked.

"I'm actually going to skip out on this one, you have fun."

Shawn's face fell and I immediately felt bad.

"Okay." He said quietly and left the room, leaving me alone.

"Okay." I said, my voice barely a whisper.

I felt bad but I needed to get some rest and I wanted to learn how to play the guitar and surprise Shawn.

Hopefully I'm a fast learner.
