Talia's POV
Imagine the best Christmas present you could receive- now multiply the feeling you would get by 1000.
That's how I felt when I found out the Shawn Mendes followed me on Twitter.
What a good thing to wake up from a nap from.
My phone beeped. "@ShawnMendes: just landed! Home sweet home just in time for holiday dinner with the fam"
So cute.

After my grandparents left after dinner, I trudged up the stairs. I was exhausted but I decided I would FaceTime my best friend Caroline. I opened my laptop and found Caroline's contact, clicking call.
After a few rings, she answered. She was her usual perky self, jamming out to Shawn and Jack & Jack in an oversized sweatshirt. I laughed at her and started dancing along with her to 'Groove'.
After the song, she plopped down on her bed- clearly tired from dancing her heart out.
"Hey Tailia! So I have big news," Caroline said, putting emphasis on the word 'big', "Michael is coming back from his cruise on Saturday and he wants me to come to a fancy dinner with him for our anniversary!"
"That's great Caro! You two are such a cute couple, I can't believe you have been dating him for 8 months!" I said, smiling.
"Now all we need to do is find you a boyfriend." She said laughing slightly. We both know I've never had a boyfriend and probably won't until later in life.
"Yeah right," I said laughing, "the odds of that happening are not in my favor."
We talked for about an hour, catching up since we hadn't talked at all during the break.
After saying goodbye to Caroline, I decided to sign up for Shawn's contest. Supposedly he was sending out prizes or something in the mail. Whatever it is, I'm signing up anyway. I went to his website and filled out my information.
At about 11, I decided to crash, even more exhausted than I was earlier.

Sorry this was kinda a short and boring chapter but I needed something to fill this gap of ideas. More Shawn coming soon! I've been trying to keep things accurate but some (like Shawn's tweet) I made up to go along with the story.
