an: AHH IM SO PUMPED ABOUT SHAWN'S UPCOMING ALBUM! Also a little throwback above for you all in honor of this big news.

Talia's POV (about a week later)

"TALIA WAKE UP ITS CHRISTMAS MORNING!" Chase yelled as he jumped on my bed. I rolled over and looked at my clock. 8:34am. Too early.

He dashed out of my room and I sat up in bed, letting out a yawn. I slipped on a hoodie, put my hair up in a quick bun, and slipped on my glasses. It's too early for contacts too.

I walked down the wooden stairs, thankful I had my fuzzy socks on to keep my feet warm. I turned the corner into the family room and the whole space under the tree was full of presents. My brother was already picking out the ones that were his. I chuckled to myself and went to grab some hot chocolate. I popped a container in the Keurig and placed a mug underneath. In a few seconds I had a steaming cup of goodness.

I went back into the family room to find my parents unwrapping gifts with Chase. I went over to the tree and picked out a present. The label said 'From Chase, To Talia'. Oh no, this should be interesting.

I unwrapped the messy wrapping paper to find a pair of fuzzy socks. Typical.

"Thanks Chase! I can always use fuzzy socks." I said to him with a laugh. He smiled and continued opening presents.

My mom came over to me and placed a red envelope on my lap.

"It's from Dad and I, sweetie." she said with a smile and took a seat next to my dad.

I raised an eyebrow but opened it anyway. Inside was a note. It read:

'To our loving daughter,
This Christmas we couldn't give you something quite materialistic. So when your favorite singer Shawn Mendes goes on his next tour, you can go meet him and go to his concert. Even if he doesn't come to Virginia, we'll take you wherever the closest one is.
Love, Mommy and Daddy'

I squealed with excitement. "Oh my gosh thank you both so much this is amazing I love you." Best. Present. Ever.

After finishing opening presents, I decided to go back upstairs and relax before my grandparents arrived later. I lied down on my bed, phone in hand, and pulled up Twitter. I immediately opened Shawn's page, looking for any updates (even though I have his notifications on). Nothing much other than his Jingle Ball tweets from earlier.

Shawn's POV (why what is this doing here, I bet you didn't expect that)

I scrolled through Twitter, casually following a few fans and favoriting tweets. I was on the plane home to Canada and the flight had just started, so I wasn't all that sleepy.

I needed some music before this crying baby drives me insane. I put my headphones in, turning on the demos of my new album (my manager wanted me to make sure I was happy with the recordings).

I decided to follow one more person before locking my phone.

I scroll through her tweets before I tap the follow button. I lock my phone and close my eyes.

Within minutes, I'm asleep.
