"I'm here!"

Sunghoon shouted as he entered the cafe,heading straight into the kitchen.

"You're 10 minutes late,again."

Jake called out as Sunghoon wore his apron and got ready to start work.

"At least he didn't ditch work for a date."

Jay snickered,washing his hands at the sink.

"That was once!"

Jake defended himself.

"Once or twice,both of you should come here on time like Jay.Going on dates is not an excuse for arriving late.If you guys come late again I'll make you guys clean the whole cafe every week."

Heeseung said as he packed the fresh fruits into the refrigerator.

"You can't make us do that."

Sunghoon rolled his eyes.

"He's just jealous cause he's still single."

Jake whispered into Sunghoon's ear.

"I can."

"Says who?"

"Says me."

She appeared,helping to pass the fresh fruits to Heeseung.

"I made him the manager so technically he can make you guys clean the cafe every week."

"You what?Since when?"

Jake said in disbelief.

"Since today."

Heeseung turned around and pointed at the golden,shiny badge that he had proudly pinned onto his blouse.

"And you agreed to this?Jay, you approve this?"

Jake dramatically raised his hands and pointed at Heeseung.

"Well,I don't really have anything against it."

Jay shrugged.

"Also,he can make you guys come on time so I won't have to do extra work."

"That was only once!"

Jake emphasised.

"I mean,I could also use a little more help so I appointed him as the manager."

She stated her reason.

"Yeah,cause both of y'all still single."

"W-What nonsense are you saying?"

Heeseung immediately refuted.Sunghoon giggled as the two started denying.

"Don't worry, I think you'll get a girlfriend soon."

Jake patted his shoulder as his ears turned red.

*Ding!

The sound of the bell that was at the front door rang,signalling a customer.

As if on queue,all of them went back to business.

"Welcome!"

Their sweet voices sang in chorus,smiling brightly at the person who entered.

Another day of works had just begun at the cafe of DOTD,

another person's heart to heal,

another dessert of the day to serve.

Her eyes sparkled as she watched her fellow coworkers lead the customer to his seat,prepared to take his order as the rest head to the kitchen to prepare.

Sunghoon returned to the kitchen after taking his order.Jay had took out a few ingredients as Jake took out the tools.

Heeseung walked towards her,who continued to observe the customer from afar.

"What will be the dessert of today?"

Dessert of the day
Took my worries away
Restart,refresh
Move on,I say
But the aftertaste lingers
And the lessons shall stay

This story gives me web drama vibes hahaha.I thought it'll be fun to make the previous members appear in the other members stories as new staffs of the cafe.

It was kinda hard to think of what dessert would link to their specific problem(hopefully it matches).
