Neglected

The Begining

"Oikawa-san?" he walked up to the elder. When the brunette looked at him the raven saw his hand swing and-

SLAP

Tobio had felt the sting on his cheek. But then he also felt his pinky start to burn. He had fallen onto his knees and curled up into a ball. He had heard faint footsteps but he was so caught up in the pain he didn't even realize that he had just gotten his soul string.

He held his head with his hands and looked around. He saw Oikawa and Iwaizumi-san on the floor of the gym as well. They were holding each other tightly as if they were to never see each other again. He was about to speak up but Oikawa had started first. "Tobio-chan?!" Kageyama had seen the older scoot farther away from him in disgust. Had he done something wrong? Iwaizumi kept telling Oikawa to calm down.

Kageyama had stood up and walked over to the duo even though he was still in pain. But Oikawa had stopped him, "Do not come any further Kageyama." Oikawa had held up his hand as a signal to stop him when he saw his senpais red string?

No, there were two strings on his finger. One was connected to Iwaizumi-Sans hand, which also had 2 strings. Both of the olders strings lead to himself? Wait, his senpai's are his soulmates!! But wait, Oikawa-San had called him 'Kageyama' he never does that. He looked up not realizing he had looked down to see his senpai's, the Brunette looking at him in disgust and anger. And the other had looked at him in shock and sorry.

"Oikawa-san? What's wrong?" he asked wanting to know the sudden change in his usually cheery figure. Said boy had just looked away as he did not want to look at Tobio's face. But then, his other soulmate had wrapped his arm around the other's waist and held him close. He then looked at the raven and spoke, "Kageyama, Tooru- I mean we don't feel like there is a need for you to be in our soul-bond. Uhm, just this is unexpected."

Kageyama had just looked down. He heard whispers coming from the other two and started to walk to the gym door. But then the two started to speak, "Kageyama Tobio, we reject you from this bond." Then Tobio's world just went numb. He fell to his knees and his breathing started to hitch. There was another painful experience yet to come.

His eyes widened. He turned around to see his perfect set fall onto the floor. In the distance, he saw his teammates all distanced from him as if he had the plague. He looked to the stands and saw his former senpais look at him. All he could see is the shock and disappointment in their eyes.

But then the coach had called for a time-out. He saw as his teammates looked at him with delight. They wanted him off the team. Tobio had realized that that would be the only reason for the coach to call the timeout right? To sub him out? But no, sadly the coach had just come off of a call with the hospital. And... his grandfather had just passed. Tobio's heart had just been pierced in a span of 5 minutes.

The coach held some empathy for the boy and had him sit next to him for the rest of the game. Tobio had a towel over his head and didn't want to cry. His life had kept getting worse and worse. No soulmates, no friends, no Ojii-san, no emotions. What was next? Nothing was. All Tobio thought of was Volleyball. That's all he needed. That's all he thought he needed.

But as he was walking out of the arena, all by himself, Oikawa had decided to pick on him. "Heh, Tobio-chan! Long time no see!" his voice fake as ever. Tobio had looked up to see the cocky setter he had used to look up to. Oikawa was shocked to see that the Kageyama he used to know was gone.

No more bright blue eyes, full of curiosity. Now just deep blue like the depths of the ocean. And how pale and tired the younger looked. And his hair was a mess. Oikawa didn't pay any mind to it. "Now now Tobio-chan! Listen to me here okay?" Tobio opened his mouth to answer just for Oikawa to shut him up. "You will NOT be attending Aoba Josai, You will NOT be ruining another team of mine, and you will CERTAINLY NOT steal MY Iwa-chan away from ME." The older had lifted his hand once again but Tobio was ready this time he closed his eyes and waited for the hit to blow.

But it never did. He heard Oikawa hit something, but his face didn't hurt. Tobio decided to be brave and open his eyes. But the person in front of him was the least he was expecting.
