Chapter 30: From Land Filled With Life... To A Dark Empty Town.

This has been the journey so far...

After a victory against the Troublesome Taurus, the Rider and his Companions continued their journey forward... Soon they find themselves standing before a soulless land.

Evangelyne: I wasn't sure what to say about Amalia's dress, so I said that she looked like a "Gobble". For an entire week, everyone started calling her "Princess Gobble".

Yugo: Haha! "Princess Gobble"!

Yugo's laughter can be heard as the gang were traveling together through a forest, you were following behind the gang with Amalia walking beside you. You and Amalia heard the conversation that Evangelyne began as the gang were laughing together but Amalia as she held an annoyed look.

Amalia: I should have gotten Father to have you locked up and none of this would have happened!

(y/n): Your Highness, I'm sure they're just having some good fun. I doubt they're trying to insult you in any way.

Amalia: B-But... UGH!!!

Amalia was clearly frustrated and annoyed now that everyone heard of Evangelyne's story about Amalia when they were kids. You just looked at Amalia as she puffs her cheeks and crossed her arms as you just smirked softly and shook your head before looking forward... And stopped before everyone noticed and asked.

Percedel: What's wrong, buddy?

(y/n): Does no one else see the sudden change in scenery?

You pointed forward as everyone turn towards the direction you were pointing... They soon see large rocks and a rocky path ahead that leads to a town that you could barely see from a distance. You looked over and see how sudden the change was... You were out of the forest and now on rocky grounds as Evangelyne began.

Evangelyne: Who has the map?

Percedel: I do!

Evangelyne: See if we're going the right way, (y/n)'s not wrong about how sudden the path has changed.

As Percedel goes through his pockets to pull out the talking map, you decided to take forward and walked passed everyone.

Evangelyne: Where are you going?

(y/n): Going to look around, there could be a trap or an ambush... Or it could just be nothing...

Yugo: Be careful!

The young boy said as you looked over your shoulder and smiled before nodding.

(y/n): I won't be gone for too long. I'll return.

And so you continued forward as Amalia waved her hand and shouted.

Amalia: Please be careful! Return safely!

Evangelyne: Don't go too far, (y/n)!

[Timeskip with (y/n) kneeling down before seeing a strange ring... He senses a unique power within... And decided to keep the ring for himself.]

Evangelyne: You sure it's safe to go ahead?

(y/n): From what I searched, I see no trap or ambushes ahead. We're in the clear so I suppose the place just looks unwelconing.

After some time have past, you and the gang proceed to move forward into the soulless looking, rocky land after seeing no signs of danger. Percedel, who held the taking map, confirmed that this is the right path.

Yugo: Ever been to a place so spooky looking like this, (y/n)?

(y/n): Many times, actually.

Ruel: Bet places like these are filled with hidden Kamas.

(y/n): Is Kama all you think of, Ruel The Kama Obsessor?

Evangelyne: What a fitting name.

Evangelyne said as the gang soon were getting close to the spooky looking town... You and the rest stood where you stand as you stared at the town.

Evangelyne: What do you think? Looks safe?

(y/n): Looks alright to me, doubt we'll find any trouble there... Hopefully. We need a place to sleep and fill our stomachs.

Percedel: Couldn't agree more! Lets go!

Percedel said with excitement as he rushes towards the town with Yugo following behind. Evangelyne was about to shout and demand that they slow down... But you placed a hand on her shoulder and shook your head.

(y/n): Let them, I don't blame them if they're hungry and tired. Besides, I doubt the place looks like a trap.

Evangelyne: *Sigh* You're right. It has been a long day, hasn't it?

You only hummed as Evangelyne noticed that you too were feeling tired from the journey as Evangelyne gently placed her hand on your shoulder and smiled, you smiled back as you, Evangelyne, Amalia and Ruel made your way towards the Town as everything fades to black...

And the title "Wakfu" appeared as the title is untouched and odd silence fills the air.
