Chapter 38: One Bite To Kill Man, One Hundred Bites To Kill The Dead.

The Corpse and his friends continued onward... But trouble came to them thanks to the greedy elder... They rush out of the forest, believing they are safe... Only for trouble to grow more dire.

Evangelyne: Did you really have to snoop around and steal, Old Man?!?

Ruel: I didn't think they'd get upset about it! I didn't know that cared about useless junk!

You, Yugo and the rest were running away, dodging arrows from a group of Orc-like creatures after Ruel attempted to steal some of their junk. You and the gang rushed out of the forest as you turned around and lifted up Shadowfang and created a large Shadow Shield, deflecting the arrows that could have hit you and the rest.

Yugo: Nice one!

(y/n): Shadowfang's magic is similar to Void Magic, so using her powers wasn't really difficult.

Shadowfang: Hmmph.

You and the rest continued to run as the Orc-like creatures continued to chase you from behind... However, you and the Gang began running through a field of flowers as the creatures just stopped, miles away from the field.

Evangelyne: Huh? Why do you think they stopped chasing us?

Ruel: Maybe they gave up-

Amalia: STOP!!!

Amalia shouted, getting everyone to immediately stop in their tracks in the field of flowers.

Amalia: Don't move a muscle! We're in a field of demonic flowers!

(y/n): Just when things couldn't get worse...

Amalia: One bite from them and you'll go insane for sure! Or worse... You'll die.

(y/n): F*ck... I just had to open my stupid mou-

Suddenly everyone heard high pitched mumbles within the flower fields as the Flowers began to move, they had little arms and legs as they attempted to ambushed you and the gang. You all had your fair shares of defending yourselves from the ambush as you swiped your right hand, creating an arch of black flames as you incinerated a few Demonic Flowers who attempted to ambush you from above.

(y/n): RUN!!!

You shouted, no body gave second thoughts as everyone ran away. From afar, you could see a large gap with a wooden log that acted like a bridge. Ruel and Evangelyne were the first to run across the bridge and over the gap as Yugo and Percedel followed behind.

You and Amalia were almost at the bridge, you were behind Amalia before a red demonic flower came leaping from the field of flowers and bit Amalia on the ankle as she cried in pain before collapsing to the ground.

(y/n): Amalia!

You immediately stopped next to Amalia and back handed the demonic flower off Amalia before throwing a ball of fire at it. As the demonic flower burns to ashes you quickly kneel down before Amalia.

(y/n): Are you alright?

You asked but Amalia didn't respond to your question as the little flower on her hair began to decay.

(y/n): Son of a...

You tried to reach down to pick up Amalia... But you screamed in pain and reeled back when you felt a hundred bites from the demonic flowers that caught up to you. You gritted your teeth and burst a large black fiery blast from your back, disintegrating the demonic flowers before picking up Amalia and ran towards the bridge and got across...

After you got across with Amalia in your arms, Evangelyne used an ice arrow to freeze up the bridge as each and every flower that tried to get across only slipped off the edge and fell to their doom... Now you and the gang have escaped from the demonic flowers...

Yugo: (y/n)!

Yugo shouted as he rushes towards you while you gently set Amalia on the ground and took a step back...

Yugo: Amalia!

Yugo quickly went to check on Amalia as everyone quickly gathered around her... Amalia didn't seem to be responding or waking up as her breathing seems slow and quiet... Evangelyne immediately got worried a she looked at you.

Evangelyne: The flower... What color was the flower that bit her?

You turn towards Evangelyne as everyone turn towards you and waited for your answer... Which you gave...

(y/n): Red... It was... Red...

Evangelyne: R-Red?! That's... That's the most poisonous of all... Huh?

Evangelyne then noticed something... She noticed that you were breathing very heavily as you began to sweat very much... Everyone's fear grew more as Evangelyne asked.

Evangelyne: Did... Did you get bit too? What... What color?

(y/n): Every... Every... Every f*cking color of the rainbow... We need...

Shadowfang: Aww what's the matter, Darling~? Was it worth it, saving that girl from certain death? Hmmm~?

Shadowfang taunted as you began to try and walk forward... Everyone then sees your back, the by gasped in horror when they noticed that the back of your black shirt was torn... And they can see every bite as you were bleeding from behind...

(y/n): We need... We need to find a cure... For Ama-...

You couldn't finish saying Amalia's name as you fall on your knees and puked out black liquid, everyone gasped before your eyes rolled back and collapsed on the puddle of black liquid before everything fades to black...

Yugo: (Y/N)!!!

And soon... The title "Wakfu" appeared as the title is covered in blood and Shadowfang's faint laughter was heard.
