Chapter 6: Trees That Speaks The Human Tongue.

This has been the journey so far...

The search for the cure continued... Our small group of heroes and strangers soon stood before a terrible view of what's left of the forest... But soon they began to hear the cry of a living tree... Cries for its Leaf.

Ruel: Bounty Hunter? Ha, they don't pay as they use to back then.

(y/n)'s Mind: This again?

You looked over your shoulder, seeing Ruel repeating the same tale as before to Evangelyne and Amalia. You continued to walk ahead of everyone, hoping to find that cure soon as you you shook your head and looked forward before your eyes spotted a sad view.

(y/n): By the Makers...

Soon the rest stopped beside you, seeing what was left of the forest... Dead, dried trees as you saw Amalia walk towards a huge tree, sadden by the condition of the forest.

Amalia: How horrible... Poor things...

You made your way towards one of the smaller trees before kneeing down and closed your eyes.

(y/n): The feeling of this part of the forest... Their life was taken by force. How unfortunate.

You said calmly before hearing Evangelyne's voice.

Evangelyne: Ogrest's Choas.

Ruel: You believe in that legend? I don't know, seems kinda fishy to me. Whenever there's something like this, we always place the blame on Ogrest yet we don't even know if it exists.

You were confused by this "Ogrest's Chaos" thing since you have no knowledge of such thing. You simply stood up while the rest looks around as Ruel finds a pile of old equipment and weapons, you weren't the first to be here.

(y/n): Hmm... Why do I get the feeling that we are not welcome here?

Amalia: Because were aren't.

Amalia answered, you turn your head towards her with slight confusion before hearing movement behind you, you quickly dashed away before a large wooden arm came crashing into the ground. Everyone turned to see large living trees moving with anger in their visible wooden eyes.

Amalia: Treechnids!

(y/n): Ah so they're Tree Beasts, huh? Never thought I'd see these things in this world.

You were about to reach for your hidden weapon from the back of your waist... However you chose not to as you raised your hands in the air before getting into a stance as your left arm was covered in black electricity and your right was covered in black flames.

(y/n): Lets see if these Tree Beasts are as challenging as the ones I faced before.

However you weren't alone as the rest of the gang gathered around and were ready to fight as well.

[Timeskip with (y/n) going toe to toe with a member of the Horsemen of The Apocalypse, Fury as it ends with a tie even though the two still had more energy to keep going.]

A small battle is seen within the Forest, you and the gang were defending yourself from a small horde of Tree Beasts as you slid around with your electricity ability, sliding behind two Treechnids and reeled both arms before blasting the two with a powerful black fiery explosion.

(y/n): Alright, these guys aren't as difficult as I hoped. Hmm?

You spotted another Tree Beasts heading your way as you turn towards them and placed a left hand in front of you before slamming your fist into said hand, creating a massive wave of both electricity and fire towards the Tree Beasts as they were no more. You smirked slightly before seeing Ruel chopping down a Treechnid with his golden shovel.

(y/n): Hmm? Is that all?

You asked as you noticed that everything went silent, turning around to see that everyone was safe as you blinked your eyes.

(y/n): Guess you all can handle yourselves. Impressive.

As you said this, you began to stretch your arms in the air as Yugo asked.

Yugo: Are you a wizard?

(y/n): Hmm? No, I'm no wizard, Child.

You replied to Yugo as he was about to ask another question, however Evangelyne's scream was heard.

Evangelyne: Amalia!

You and the rest quickly turned around to see a massive tree arm, lifting Amalia off the ground as you were about to make a move... However unfortunately, you spotted those small critters again, sneaking up on Yugo as you grabbed the boy by the collar and tossed him aside.

(y/n): I gotcha kid!

You raised your right leg up before bringing it down onto the Critter and smashed it under your foot... Unfortunately the little creature was still alive for a moment as it grabbed your leg and began to slowly turn to stone...

(y/n): Ah hell...

You said, not even worried as Yugo was terrified. The boy ran to your side and began.

Yugo: (Y/N)!

(y/n): Hey, hey. No need to scream near my ear, kid. Besides... I'm not going to let this be the end of me.

You said calmly as your entire body turned to stone as Yugo watched it all... But... Yugo then witnessed your stone body began to break as everything fades to black...

And the title "Wakfu" appeared as the title is untouched and silence fills the air.
