Chapter 31: A Dark And Stormy Town~

This has been the journey so far...

After the Corpse and his Companions traveled far into the darkened land, a town is seen, and our adventurers entered the town. However... Not a single Soul seem to be welcoming our heroes.

(y/n): Well... That's not creepy looking all...

You said, standing on a tall rock before seeing a massive tower from afar, just within a dark town. You looked down at the folks, seeing them stare at the dark town before you dropped down beside Yugo while Percedel was looking at the Magic Map.

Percedel: The Map said that we need to go through... Uhhhh...

(y/n): This dark town? Seem like we have no other choice.

You said, taking another look at the town before Amalia stood next to you and spoke.

Amalia: It's like I can see shadows moving around there.

(y/n): The whole dark sky, dark mountains really make that town stand out... I like it.

You smirked slightly before you began walking towards the dark town with the scary tower. Amalia turns towards you immediately after you left her side, quickly rushes to walk by your side and the rest followed behind. Yugo walked next to you soon, looking as he began.

Yugo: Think the place has some food and a place to eat?

(y/n): I'm sure we'll find an Inn, everyone's obviously exhausted from the journey. And I'm sure everyone's hungry, after all we all ate the rations on the way here. LOOKING AT YOU, OLD MAN!!!

Ruel: I don't know what you're talking about.

You looked over your shoulder, seeing Ruel avoiding eye contact as your eye twitches before you turn forward.

(y/n): That old man is going to be the death of me...

Yugo chuckles at your words while Amalia continues to be afraid of her surroundings, the dark town is getting close as you and the folks can't seem to hear anything from the town, perhaps everyone's asleep... There were no guards near the entrance either...

(y/n): Hmm... Odd for the town not have any guards around the entrance... On break I suppose?

Amalia: It is very rude to not welcome their guests! Maybe i should speak with their king or queen.

Amalia said in a frustrated tone as you and the gang were getting near the town... Unaware of what could be going on in the town...

[Timeskip with (y/n) and Yugo enjoying a good bowl of noodles while Percedel and Ruel were being chased by a giant.]

(y/n): What the hell...?

After arriving at the town, you immediately noticed something was out of place... You see a few of the citizens of the town, all just standing there, not moving... Like mindless souls as you and the folks were searching for an Inn...

(y/n): I have a bad feeling about this...

Yugo: I'm so hungry! I can eat anything!

Percedel: Me too! Ooh I wonder what kind of food they have here!

You rolled your eyes, knowing that the gang didn't care of what's going on, they were busy fantasizing the food the Inn could have... As you continued to walk by these silent civilians, you felt something immediately wraps around your arm.

(y/n): Eh?

You looked over and see Amalia is clenching onto your arm in fear, she must have seen something that scared her.

(y/n): Are you alright?

Amalia: This is just the worst! Everyone is acting all creepy and quiet! Ugh!

You looked at her before gently placing a hand over hers, she looked at you after she felt your touch, and then you smiled.

(y/n): Stay by my side then, Princess. I'm sure we'll find and Inn somewhere to sleep in the night and when we do, we'll leave this bizarre town before you know it. Alright?

Amalia didn't say a word, all she could do was blush by your comforting words before she held your arm tight as the two of you and the gang kept walking... Behind you and Amalia, Evangelyne watched the two of you walk together so close, she then held a rather sad look on her face before everything slowly fades to black...

And the title "Wakfu" Appeared as the title is untouched and silence fills the air.
